Re: July PUG is up
That's a beatiful gallery! Having known PDMLers (with so many punsters) for so many years, I am surprised by the fact that there was no other interpretation of the theme: 1) other types of "leaves" or 2) a singular 3rd-person form of the verb "to leave". I like the way the bloom fill the frame -- and then some. Personally, I would prefer it without the insect, especially since it is not a very interesting insect, based on what we can see of it. Re: Strange thing
Along with bug fixes, a lot of the Thunderbird updates are to fix security issues. No one wants to acknowledge security holes in their software, so unless it's one that's become an actual problem with a documented exploit, it probably won't be mentioned in the release notes. I hate to bow to an arrogant SOB of a developer who introduces a bug and through ignorance and due to just plain pigheadedness refuses to admit he's wrong, but falling back to a previous version, probably isn't the best idea, unless something more serious is broken. As I said I removed the "regular" reply button from the in message toolbar and haven't accidentally replied off list since. The smart reply button works the way you'd expect it to if the regular reply button isn't there. On 7/4/2017 11:05 AM, Mark C wrote: Yea! Re: Ready for the Hookah.
Not to make excuses, since the major problem was my fault, but I had set the ISO for 160, I should have bumped that up to 800 or so based on the light conditions. So exposure speed was about 1/5 second. There was probably some subject movement, and some photographer movement that the SR system couldn't entirely compensate. As for the framing there were distracting elements on the right hand side of the frame, which I composed around, and I ended up cropping quite a bit anyway. There are times when I wish for a "fast" normal zoom in the 16-50mm range, but I still haven't found the one I actually want to own or pay full price for. Re: Strange thing
It must be a sign of old age, and I cannot remember who on the list put me on to this, I suppose I could look it up but that's not important now. Ann, on the header of an email to the right of the reply button, right click and choose customize, it should be the only choice you get. That will open the tool pallet. Click on the reply button, and drag it to the pallet. Close the pallet. The straight reply button is now on the pallet. The smart reply which is now the only visible reply button will work more or less properly, so it will default to reply list if you're looking at a mail list email, and it will reply to an individual if the email is from an individual. You'll also have the option of replying to the person who sent the email to the list by clicking the down arrow. It's almost as good as if the reply button wasn't broken.
