Of course I knew  you would know it - but  It's in WIlmette , not

much closer to where i lived in Chicago than you did...  I had friends
who lived in Wilmette I visted often after moving awaY and when I was a
child a Sunday drive was often up Sheridan road through Evanston and the

Re: Power adapter D-AC50

2020-10-07 Thread Bruce Walker
By coincidence, my almost identical 3rd-party adapter arrived a couple
of weeks ago but I haven't tested it yet. I ordered it to use with my
K-3 as a streaming video source. But since I discovered that Pentax
cameras can't be made to output a clean video signal I put that idea
aside in favour of a small security camera instead.

I'm glad to hear that it hasn't fried your gear, Toine! :-) I intend
to use it for some tabletop macro work later on.

I agree about the original Pentax adapter. The big US retailers list
it as always out-of-stock and damned expensive for what it is anyway.

Power adapter D-AC50

2020-10-07 Thread Toine
I received an aliexpress version of this power adapter. The original
is hard to find and hard to pay without hurting your wallet.

https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32975156359.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.56e14c4deMyWZ7

It works on my K5 and KP. I was a little worried it might fry my cam
but it doesn't (so far).
Handy in the studio or mounted on a microscope.
