The south coast area I’m living in now is apparently the sunniest part of
England, and Worthing one of the sunniest towns. Today it’s been crystal clear
sunlight, not a cloud in the sky, with a high of about 8C I think, and flat
calm.

There’s a lot of pleasure to be had from the changing of the seasons though,
and from long walks and bike rides on days like yesterday.

Re: Has anybody tried connecting Pentax K-1 for live streaming via HDMI?

2020-12-01 Thread Bruce Walker
I tried my K-3. It works but there's no way to rid the feed of every
single overlay distraction. I was able to disable all but the AF focus
indicator which was always there, somewhere, annoyingly.

I used a "Foscomax 4K Ultra HD USB 3.0 HDMI" capture device 'cause
it's fairly cheap on Amazon. Fed it into the free OBS Studio on my
Macbook.

I have no direct experience with them, but they must have just
launched a campaign to get new signups because I was among many who
got an email from them recently.

"My name is Samamtha, content editor at viewbug. I saw your photos
and would love to feature your work."

I can tell right away something's amiss. It's unlikely that a popular
photography site, having seen my photos, would still want to feature
them.

They've been around for many years, that much I know. They have
co-sponsored contests with some photography-related companies since
the 2000's.

I have it on good authority (the president of the United States, no less) that
all that exposure is a clear commie conspiracy.

If you're going to get all technical on us, it's a spikelet on a culm.
Probably one of the Pooideae.

Botany I have only a passing knowledge of. Freshwater ecology and bats, I'm

That's just Finn..

I enjoyed working with the 135mm lens and it performs well on this format, but
I suspect that it's just a hair too long for my normal use. On that basis, I
think when next I buy a native lens, I'll likely pick the XCD 80 or XCD 90.
However, that's not going to happen for a while, so I'll keep experimenting. :)

A very common sight throughout most of the world. It’s some variety of grass
that has gone to seed. Technically, it’s a seed-bearing flower.
