She is stubborn and determined. She isn't mean spirited, and is very

She is quite drivey, and responsive. She appears to be play, praise and
food motivated, has a very strong prey drive, and I think she will be an
excellent little worker.

Re: PESO: A portrait of a pretty girl

2017-03-30 Thread Bruce Walker
Bill, we have had good fortune here too. Every previous dog we've had
was accompanied by a cat or two. We are up to three cats now and our
previous dog, who just passed a month ago at age 13, got along
famously with all of them.

In fact one of our cats -- a Russian Blue -- has been so distraught
since Tessa died, his depression moved us to try and find another dog
to keep _him_ company. And also so I'd get out and walk more to keep
exercised. :)

We're going to wait a while before we look again though, at least
until my IT contract workload reduces.

Thanks Bruce. We were getting far too many cat pictures posted. I had to
do something.

We had a very friendly seven year-old dog here for almost a week,
courtesy of the local Humane Society. We were seeing if it was a
suitable keeper for us, but sadly his prey drive was too strong and he
wanted to chase -- and possible kill -- our cats. So he left for his

We've kept cats and dogs together, mostly successfully. We had one
unfortunate instance where one of our dogs killed a cat, but I'm pretty
sure the cat started something she couldn't finish, as it was the only
time the dog showed any aggression towards another animal, and the cat
was pretty psycho.
