Re: Holiday photos
Very nice Mark! I’ve noted your posts on social media have focused on performing an assessment of as many distilleries as possible in a short time period. I am glad to see that you did have time for photography as well! We will be visiting several coastal towns in Scotland this July (in a small cruise ship, on our way to some fjords in Norway). The closest stop to Islay for us will be the Isle of Mull, just a bit further north. I am hoping for photo opportunities similar to yours. Re: Holiday photos
That looks like a really nice spot, and some nice photos. The ‘out of order’ sign on the stamp machine is pretty definitive isn’t it - if they make it out of cast iron I’d say they don’t plan on fixing the machine! I’d forgotten stamp machines even existed, haven’t seen one for decades. > On 14 May 2024, at 09:21, Mark Roberts wrote: > > Part 1 of our UK trip is done and I've uploaded a rough cut of photos. > Since this is a walking holiday I left the full-frame kit at home and > these were all taken with the K-3ii and either the DA 16-50/2.8 or the > 55-300WR (both really superb lenses). Holiday photos
Part 1 of our UK trip is done and I've uploaded a rough cut of photos. Since this is a walking holiday I left the full-frame kit at home and these were all taken with the K-3ii and either the DA 16-50/2.8 or the 55-300WR (both really superb lenses). These are all from the Isle of Islay in Scotland (and, yes, I did a good amount of Scotch tasting along the way). https://www.flickr.com/photos/166715344@N04/albums/72177720316943057/ More than a few times I've found myself wishing I'd brought the DA 12-24 (if Pentax were to make a weather sealed version of this lens I'd buy it in a heartbeat).
