Ie, you are photographing *that* dancer and his or her unique style, not just some generic dance poses from a generic dance practitioner. You hear Jordan saying things like, "do something pretty here", and that's the best way to go because then you are getting the most creativity from the talent. More than any other models I'd say if you micro-manage dancers you're wasting everyone's time and abilities. -- -bmw -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Cool, Igor! Omar Z Robles is the guy to beat for dancers in the streets though. His authenticity is unmatched and he's been doing this genre the longest I think. Here's an article ... https://bit.ly/32vjpR0 Jordan Matter is taking it a little further in being provocative. I expect to hear from home in jail one of these days. :-) On Tue, Sep 15, 2020 at 12:13 PM Igor PDML-StR wrote: > > > > It looks like a renewed challenge for photographers: speed photographing > in public places: > https://www.facebook.com/JordanMatterPhotography/videos/340158497339558/?story_fbid=10157199188877077=311293567076=aeMG32MC4UnnzD3l=null=e > > > That's a super-flexible (without going freakish) model who knows how to > make (and keep) lines. Speed-photographing?
It looks like a renewed challenge for photographers: speed photographing in public places: https://www.facebook.com/JordanMatterPhotography/videos/340158497339558/?story_fbid=10157199188877077=311293567076=aeMG32MC4UnnzD3l=null=e That's a super-flexible (without going freakish) model who knows how to make (and keep) lines. (She looks like a ballet dancer and possibly a gymnast.) The photographer who has a good eye for what would make a good shot. He seems to be over-fixated on the splits in various orientations, but that seems to be a big element showing flexibility (short of deep contortions). I just looked farther. The guy has a bunch of similar videos in other settings on his FB page. This one has more variations on the poses: https://www.facebook.com/JordanMatterPhotography/videos/369888947514101/ And this has more varieties, I think, because the poses are offered by the gymnasts themselves: https://www.facebook.com/JordanMatterPhotography/videos/1248163762195025/ Cheers, Igor -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
