pippin (or anyone) - Is it possible to see the Tidal Favorite Albums
view in iPeng with the most recently added albums at the top of the list
(rather than alphabetically). For those of us adding large number of
album favorites on Tidal, a lot of those recent adds get buried in the
list. Once the list gets to be too large, browsing through the favorites
list alphabetically gets to be a pain.

Currently the font size is fixed, iPeng 9 was developed long before
dynamic type was a thing and changing all that is a huge amount of work.

One last small query - does iPeng work directly with the iOS font size
settings (i.e. the ability to enlarge/reduce the font in the UI), or is
the font sizing 'fixed' due to the layout of the UI screens?

Well that’s the basic functionality of this skill. You ask Alexa to do
something with LMS. She controls the LMS server using JSON commands and
the sound comes from your Squeezeboxes. See the very first post in this

Bluetooth is ok but not great regarding sound quality. I would much

outputing music straight from my LMS device so no bluetooth "cooking"
(FLAC/AAC/MP3 -> SBC -> WAV) before feeding my audiophile DAC..

That does look ok in the ngrok dashboard. Nevertheless, the skill is not

what hardware does it run on? Can you kill this ngrok and setup a new

Not sure what you mean about LMS as Alexa speakers. Using the skill, an
Echo can be an LMS speaker (with the 'Stream' commands). For the other
way around, you wouldn't need a skill but just Bluetooth from an Echo to
a BT capable LMS device, like the new ESP32 players. Or do I

devices as ALEXA speakers ?
That would allow seamless music output through LMS devices (at home 2
RADIO, one TOUCH and 1 RP3 with PICOREPLAYER and a 7" touchscreen) using
ALEXA, like what you can do using SPOTTY or SONOS devices..

Also, I would much prefer one time payment to the subscription model but
I understand the rationale.

Yes - thanks Pippin - I had updated my post above to say I had realised

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)

2020-01-10 Thread Ron F.

I have been using BubbleUPnP on my Pixel 3a phone, running Android 10,
for a while now using the LMS UPnPBridge plugin to stream to the phone.
This has worked quite well, but occasionally, and for reasons I can only
guess, the phone is picked up by the plugin as a new device - the uuid
being different. I don't understand why the uuid changes periodically.
This is annoying because the plugin parameters for the rendering device
default back to "common parameters" and I have to set them again myself
back to what I want.

I note that while the uuid for my phone has changed, the device name and
MAC address have not!

OK - would it be possible under such circumstances to inherit the
operating parameters that were saved for the last device with the same
name and MAC to the "new" device?

Correction: It is possible to click on the "+" to add the tracks of

also work as expected. There's three buttons in total: "Play", Play

The custom tag menu levels don't have "Browse by selected" and "Random"

"Empty".

My guess, too. To be fair, it doesn't work in the WebUI either. I
thought maybe you know another way.

I'll try that. In the meantime, I created another, similar menu. It uses
the same tags, but I designated some tag types. COMPOSER (tag type:
Artist), WORK (playlist), RECORDING (playlist). This menu doesn't work
(I cannot get past RECORDING to see the tracks), the WebUI gives me:

Code:

That's two batches of errors. The first one I got when RECORDINGS
opened, the next one when I clicked on the plus.

I'm guessing that each item has a 'More' action, but that is the only
action. For these cases, Material fetches the contents of 'More' when
you press the three dotted button. In this case, no results are being
returned - so you see 'Empty'

Can you create a similar menu with standard tags (e.g. Artist, Ablum,
Year, etc) that shows the issue - then post how to create that here?
That way I can try and recreate. I dont have much classical music, and
certainly not with those tags.

I use Custom Browse & Scan for my classical music. The menu looks for
example like this:

COMPOSER / WORK / RECORDING

The entries for RECORDING have these three vertical menu dots, but no
entries ("Empty"):

28975

Would it be possible to add some generic "Play" (play whatever is inside
this entry) to these items? Or what would these items "have to be" to
have play, append to queue etc. options?

iPeng has it's own logic for that which predates DTTP, it's through the
"play-mode" toggle at the top right. See "Help->Quick Tutorials->Albums
and Playlists" in the App.

What it tell is that the oauth credential is not authorizing the type of
usage I'm requesting. Are you *sure*you selected "Other" for the
application type when you created the oauth credentials?
