If that value is blank, you would see this error. Otherwise, SLX will try to discover the server you are trying to connect to and if it does discover it on your local network, it will populate that value automatically. Hey Ynot, I also want to compliment you on the great piece of software. For a long time I have been using LMS for my two Squeezebox players (baby), which are now also available at reasonable prices. 29409 When I discovered HA 8 days ago and managed to integrate LMS into HA two days later, I was very happy. This combination was new to me. Yesterday I discovered LMS-Control. It blows my mind. *smile* But something doesn't work and I can't do it alone, I tried all day long and searched both threads for tips. * My setup: HA 0.105.4 with HASS.IO 0.21.5 LMS-Control Dec. 12, 2019 on Synology NAS in two Docker containers the configuration.yaml path is /config shell /config/shell packages/config/packages * I have copied the files according to the instructions and adapted them to my local setup. After that I had the following situation: (a) I have no "LMS-Control" tab on the HA GUI (b) Now instead of two, I have four players under integrities (the yellows are from HA): 29407 I solved the problem (a) by adding the code from the file ui-lovelace.yaml (git-version) with the raw-editor into HA GUI. It shows me now the controls. If I look for the artist weezer it finds this one too. What I consider good, is it true? 29408 (c) But the other controls like play or volume have no influence, nothing happens. I suspect this has something to do with the 4 instead of 2 devices. I have made many attempts to simply change the names and entities but unfortunately without success. Among many other things i found out that if i remove the port number in the configurations.yaml, HA will not find the two devices. result: they are only displayed when i specify the port. Code: media_player: - platform: squeezebox host: 192.168.2.2 port: 9002 However, LMS Control communicates via the two "new" ones which have no function at all. What can I do to make it work? I'm not sure if problem (a) is bad. It actually tells me everything. The described problem (b) could be the cause, but I do not know how to proceed. Last, the (c) is then the consequence of (b). I note you posed the question in the LMS-lite thread while your example commands are for MediaServer, but the principle would be the same for both skills. At the end of the day, it's just about shuffling JSON back and forth to/from servers and endpoints. Each endpoint could have a particular LMS URL associated with it, which can theoretically vary from player to player (right now, that's the same URL for all players under the skill). Account linking would have to allow you to specify different URLs for the various locations, which is not so difficult. You could either choose to use unique player names across all locations or else allow repeated names and simply prefix a location with a unique location-name, which could be entered textually when linking. So 'turn on bungalow bathroom' vs 'turn on villa bathroom'. The 'assume' command would take location into account automatically. Since a few years artist images have been loading very slow in iPeng, and as I remember it used to be faster. I've checked a lot of settings in LMS, but couldn't find anyway to improve this. When I read the release notes for the latest update of iPeng I was very happy to read "- Faster artist image rendering with LMS 7.8 and newer." among the changes. After the update the artist images are loading very fast. Thank you for this great update! I also have a question: Is it possible to see technical info (file type, bitrate etc.) in iPeng? (In Material Skin it's possible to turn this on and then it shows in the bottom right corner.) (Have generated a crash using replication steps above). FYI I have updated the iPeng app to 9.7.1 on another of devices - a iPad Pro (same iOS revision) and reported crash symptoms immediately occurred on this separate device. Appreciate these things can take time to resolve (and you may wish to receive independent corroboration of issue) before delving deeply. Hello I have recently upgraded iPeng via the Apple app store on one of my iPads to version 9.7.1 and am experiencing an issue whereby iPeng crashes (ie exits) when I attempt to unpair synchronised players. My other iOS devices (which are on 9.7) have not yet upgraded to the latest version of iPeng are unaffected). Its more an irritation than desperate (as I can always turn off players that I am unable to unpair) but thought I would report it in case its a wider issue. Replication steps Launch iPeng on affected iPad Select Multi player control Edit button Select by way of button existing synchronised player(s) to be "unsynchronised" Press unsynchronise button at foot Result iPeng application immediately crashes and exits Note that this only happens when unsynchroning NOT when synchronising players Mitigation steps Uninstall iPeng (delete application) Reboot iPad Reinstall iPeng Restart LMS on Synology NAS Result problem remains. Hardware and software revisions iPad Air (3rd Generation) running iOS 3.3.1 iPeng 9.7.1 LMS 7.9.2.168.0030 (courtesy of Pinkdot) LMS host Synology DS718+ running DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 4.
