Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages
I hope this is the correct thread. I have had Logitech devices for 8 years and using Touch for five years and very happy with quality esp with enhanced digital output. Upgraded to LMS 8.0 and the Touch will now not stream Tidal. Have rebooted device and reloaded Tidal in case authentication problems. I can stream radio on the Touch but no Tidal and have worked on it for many hours. Any help would be most appreciated, but I am no computer expert! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Tonight I have configured Spotify Family in LMS, and one of my accounts is now showing the wrong display name in LMS. The displayname of one of my kids account is attached to my own account and therefore shown twice. My own library and playlist are ok. The issue is confirmed when looking in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/plugin/spotty.prefs. Is this a bug? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
Thank phillipe44 for making the ports configurable. However, there's still some TCP ports being opened that I do not know what are for. I've set the port_base to '46000' and port_range to '10'(this is just for testing). This seems to be working "fine" as I can see this in the log files: Code: [22:00:49.840529] hairtunes_init:400 [0xe429e0]: UDP port-0 46003 [22:00:49.840607] hairtunes_init:400 [0xe429e0]: UDP port-1 46004 [22:00:49.840645] hairtunes_init:400 [0xe429e0]: UDP port-2 46005 [22:00:49.840704] hairtunes_init:418 [0xe429e0]: HTTP listening port 46006 So far so good. But there's still a TCP port being opened by the helper program as well, and I do not know what that's for(it's dynamic and a new port number opens at each restart of the plugin): Code: # ps -aux | grep shair lms 24292 0.0 0.0 75756 4 ?Sl 21:29 0:00 /config/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ShairTunes2W/Bin/shairport_helper-x64-linux -dns host 10.0.0.5 XX@Bathroom-Squeeze _raop._tcp 46279 tp=UDP sm=false sv=false ek=1 et=0,1 md=0,1,2 cn=0,1 ch=2 ss=16 sr=44100 pw=false vn=3 txtvers=1 am=shairtunes2 # netstat -tulnp | grep 46279 tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:46279 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 24273/perl Questions: 1. Is it possible to set a port_base and range for these helper ports as well? 4. Exactly what ports needs to be opened in a firewall for this plug into work? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce : BBC Sounds Plugin
Version 2.6.5 is in the beta repository now, and will be in the standard repository at the next refresh (in a couple of hours). It includes the following : NEW FEATURES: - Improved category browsing - Persistent "Now Playing" information in the 3rd meta data line - "Now Playing" Spotify link if available and Spotty installed There is a bit of an experimental feature in this release. The BBC can provide the spotify track id in the now playing information. I've made use of this by providing a context menu when you select the track info (if you have Spotty installed, obviously). This enables you to open the currently playing track directly in spotty as a spotify track. The menu item will only appear if the spotify track id is available and you have Spotty installed. I have noticed that the BBC don't tend to provide the spotify link on the live streams, but almost always do on the audio on demand contact, don't know why that is. 32336 +---+ |Filename: Screenshot 2020-11-27 at 15.24.29.png| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=32336| +---+ expectingtofly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63263 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The problem started around 9:30 GMT for me. It took about an hour before I could access my music at all on the Spotify App. Then a while longer before I was able to use Spotify Connect to Chromecasts. Now it seems to be working just about OK in Spotify but not via LMS. I can't find any meaningful updates from Spotify about the issue. "Reliably" is always difficult in a Squeezebox setup. iPeng will remember what server AND player it used the last time and try to reconnect to that. So usually this should work. But there are edge cases. The player only starts up when the App is started and then tries to connect to the server. If your server is e.g. sleeping and takes a while to respond, this could run into a timeout where iPeng decides to switch to another, available player. I think the timeout is 30s or so. During the glitch, none of my Spotify Accesses works. Now, the Smartphone App works again, but Spotty in LMS still doesn't. It jumps through playlists, skipping each title. :-( I tried restarting LMS, restarting the LMS sever (raspi), deleting and reenabling my Spotify account within LMS. Still no joy. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I've got a use case that I'd like to know if iPeng will satisfy before I go ahead and purchase (I don't believe there's any trial option with it?) I've previously used Squeezepad, but it doesn't quite work for this particular scenario. The basic idea is that it needs to be useable by someone who doesn't have to understand the niceties of the LMS ecosystem, but can just start the App, pick something from the Favourites menu and have it work 100% of the time (or at least 99.99%!). - Needs to run on an old iPad Mini that's running IOS 9.3.5 - OK I think ? - Needs to have local player support - OK with in-app purchase - When the App is started or brought to the foreground, it must be able to reliably select its own local player as the player to be controlled, and not require a subsequent menu selection to pick it from the list of players on the server (This is where Squeezepad fails, as there's some timing issue when it starts up). Any confirmation available on the first and last points ?
