[ql-users] Website updates
Hi all, Uploaded a new version of the site (www.qldesign.com) including a big two-part review of EasyPTR. DB
[ql-users] website updates
Phoebus Dokos and Malcolm Lear have been busy. Version 6.03 of Lear PCBCad is now on my website. This program now contains experimental Q40 hi-colour line drawing routines, but as Malcolm does not have a Q40 to test it on, he'd appreciate feedback from anyone who tries it on a Q40 or any hi-colour platform. As you may have heard already, Phoebus Dokos has set up a mirror of my website in the USA. This should give faster access for north American QLers, especially at peak periods. I have tried to ensure that all the links from page to page and to graphics on the website are relative URLs, so you shouldn't find yourself skipping from site to site when you follow links from page to page. Phoebus has also indulged in some graphic design (I think that's his occupation?) and contributed a new suggestion for a QL logo, and I must admit I like it. Maintains the red, white and black windows of a typical QL monitor screen, but in a rather nice layout which should not infringe on a certain clothing manufacturer's logo discussed recently on the mailing list. -- Dilwyn Jones [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.soft.net.uk/dj/index.html

My website now includes updated Turbo and Turbo Toolkit manuals from Tim Swenson, including changes made for Turbo version 4.5 and some changes discussed with authors concerned. www.soft.net.uk/dj/software/other/turbman.zip Gwasl v1.5 has been updated to correct the fact that I left out a couple of files by mistake when uploading the current version of this program (no new files as such, I just omitted the instructions and the symbols/equates files through doing the previous update in too much of a hurry). www.soft.net.uk/software/other/gwasl15.zip A new program has been uploaded to the Freeware page. This program is called Today (QL version). We resisted the temptation to call it QL Today. The program is a co-operation between myself and Mike Kilmister of MJKSoft to produce a program which gives you a few facts pertaining to a given date, e.g. who was born/died today or a given day of the year. Mike kindly supplied the data for this while I wrote a front end for it in QLiberated BASIC. Mike has a version for Psion 3A on his website http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Mikey_k and a Windows version is in preparation too. Today for QL can be downloaded from www.soft.net.uk/dj/freeware/today.zip Finally, it is unlikely that Q-Celt Computing will be able to attend the Hove Quanta workshop, due to both the weather in Ireland at the moment (Darren is snowbound) and the possible restrictions on travel due to the Foot and Mouth disease outbreak - Darren would have to travel past an outbreak area. Apologoes - we had intended to attend this show and had told a few people we would be there. -- Dilwyn Jones [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.soft.net.uk/dj/index.html
