Dilwyn Jones (yeah, him again) wrote a great program called SCREEN SNATCHER
years ago that with grab a screenshot and save it as a file using a hotkey.
I used it all the time to get screenshots for any reviews I wrote for Ql
Today.

Its on the Dilwyn Jones Bargain Bundle CD I sell. There is also a pointer
version I think Norman Dunbar wrote (just an updated version of Dilwyns one
I think)

Dilwyn always underestimates what a truly gifted QL programmer he is.

All I can say is, if you like Q-Trans, wait until you see Launchpad.

It comes with a free additional game called decimal Invaders. I have wasted
DAYS playing this damn thing, its addictive as hell!!

Thanks guys. For being so nice about the program, once I've got the
directory versus filenames issue sorted out, you can have the sources

QTrans is still a joy to use. Well done !

I totally agree with that. As I told Dilwyn on a separate email,
 it's the second QL
file manager that is usable (after PWFile) and the very first one
 that's really
practical. With many apologies to any writers of filemanagers out
 there but nothing
even comes close to Q-Trans. It's about time we had our own flavour
 of a Norton
Commander-like file manager (like ie Windows Commander, Midnight
 Commander for
  UN*X etc).

Now if I could only convince Dilwyn to let me on the sources to make
 it a total NC
clone I would be the happiest man in the world...(Complete with all
 the function key
commands). Hmmm maybe a ten part series of Articles on QLT for the
manufacturing of a Lexan case for the SGC and the Q40 would be an
 even
  exchange? (Ooohhh now that's blackmail!)

The ability to 'execute' programs, and the 'viewer' are both
 features
that make it a very useful 'frontend', as well as a file transfer
  facilitator.

  Absolutely agree... Q-Trans rocks!

Yes, Norman updated it to capture the new screen sizes of the emulators.

The original was for the 512x256 screen.

There is a screenshot on one of the last 3 QLTs (I forget which one now)... it's
easy to pass it over but pay attention and you will be amazed...

With apologies to Jim, but I am always in favour of doing things in the simplest

Actually, QDT started out much simpler than it now is.

And I am also waiting for it impatiently. Does that mean I am waiting
for myself? (sorry, working too many hours lately, and not on QDT -
