Re: [spamdyke-users] Web app for configuring spamdyke

2009-11-05 Thread Sam Clippinger
I'm not sure how the Plesk plugin saves its data, but this kind of web
app is exactly what I had in mind when I added the config-dir option.
If the web app allowed the user to edit their own file in a
_recipient_ folder, their changes would only affect their own mail. A
domain administrator could edit the domain's file in a _recipient_
folder to change defaults for the entire domain. The system
administrator could set global defaults in the main configuration file.

Thanks Michael. Any contribution is welcome.

I can certainly provide suggestions on a GUI and/or features that would be
helpful from a user stand point...

I think having a turn-key web app for configuring the spam features of QMT
would be sweet. As of right now, I am relying on the Global settings of
Spamdyke, and having users make adjustments as needed (Seldom needed) to
SpamAssassin via Squirrelmail. Not ideal. Thankfully, SpamDyke is so good
at what it does, SpamAssassin has little left to do.

Maybe a toaster web app that configs the settings for the various

That would be certainly be sweet. I'm hoping that this spamdyke

Does anyone know of such a thing, or something someone might have

 worked

on at some point? I know of someone who's interested in working on such
an app, and am willing to put my 2 cents in. Does anyone know if such

 an

app has ever been worked on? Would anyone else care to lend a hand?

Thanks Ulrich. That's very helpful. I've passed the information on to
our developer.

 there is one:

It works with Plesk and with the MySQL extension of spamdyke. It is also
 translated in english.

 See the attached screenshots.
