Cada ciudad en esa base de datos abierta tiene diferentes ficheros en el
dataset, algunos son un .zip de GTFS, etc

Antes de crear la web, haced un estudio del arte porque creo que la gente
de door2door, transportR, etc quizás tienen algo libre por ahí o con ganas
de liberarlo y así mejor colaborarlo juntos.

[Talk-es] Rutas liberadas de transporte público en España

Hola,
viendo el siguiente ejemplo de rutas de buses hechas por voluntario en
Nicaragua:

me gustaría saber cuantos de vosotros utiliza la app libre Transprtr
https://transportr.grobox.de/
para evitar el uso de GoogleMaps para hacer rutas usando el transporte
público de las ciudades.

Además veo que en https://www.navitia.io/datasets hay liberadas algunas
rutas de autobuses(con sus horarios) de España, pero solo en las ciudades
grandes.

Sé que hay otra lista de correo internacional para el tema de tránsito,
pero pregunto por aquí por si alguien está bastante metido en el tema en el
estado español.

Hola Santiago y Miguel, muchas gracias por el material.

Miguel: El hackmeeting es algo bastante autogestionado asi que no creo que
haya mucha informacion sobre la de este año, que además se hace en un local
ocupado como es la Ingobernable en Madrid. Si me entero de más info,
fechas, horarios, etc... te aviso.

Sobre el taller, había pensado algo poco técnico, recálcando los valores de

[Talk-es] Cómo etiquetar urbanizaciones o complejo de apartamentos

Hola, ahora que se acerca el verano quisiera ayudar a etiquetar mejor la
playa de mi pueblo, y quería añadir las urbanizaciones, en las playas los
turistas se orientan mejor por estos nombres que por los nombres de calles,
ej. urbanización "Les Dunes", etc...

he notado que usando landuse:residential con name no aparece en Maps.me

alguien me aconseja si es mejor usar relation incluyendo todos los

[Talk-es] Interesante herramienta visual filtros OSM

Hola compañeros, quisiera compartir esta nueva herramienta
aprovechando nuestra querida base de datos OSM.

Se puede visualizar zonas a partir de pueblos/ciudades que contengan
cierta palabra(prefijos, sufijos o en medio del nombre).

Ejemplo de resultado de todos los pueblos de España que empiezan por
BENI, prefijo usado de antiguo poblados árabes que significaba "Hijo
de".

[OSM-talk] Results from the first Vietnamese Mapping Party last 18th July

We are really sorry for being late to send u the result of Mapping Party on
last 18th July:

Around 15 people assisted to the conferences and to the party, with 5 GPS
they divided themselves into 5 groups of 3 people each.

On behalf of the party's organization, thank you very much for those who
attended and recorded all the data during 2 hours in the hot weather as well
as the pollution of Ha Noi's roads.

restaurants, hotels, hospitals,...) have updated. You can check out the

Hi all,

what I meant with my proposal is not any sort of an agreesive email to the
mapmaker users or anything like that. It's just a message telling them the
existence of OSM, their advantages over Google Maps (availability of the
nodes, open source license, good for tourism, good for local business, etc)

After writing to let's say 10 people , I realized that only 1 if 10 knew OSM
and that person had tried long time ago (3 years ago). What i mean is that
most of them they used Google Maps because they are willing to contribute
but they didn't know any other option. These guys have the spirit of OSM
mappers, so you don't need to convince them why they should map, they are
already very motivated to.

 OSM is already better than gmaps :) anyway, our aim is not to convince
 gmap people, 'cause Google already knows our map is better.
 What we can do is be printing out the map and giving it out to
 bikeshops, hotels, tourist offices for free.
 My guess is that in 2 years time, we will have most of the planet
 covered, and google will be able to can NavTeq.
 The only reason that they cant right now, is because OSM is not
 complete enough. -agreed?

 'cause right now, we need all 3 -users; mappers and developers.
 As we all know that its only after the basic things get mapped that
 more people join in.

  competitor. Doesn't mapmaker have some sort of community or other
  where we can advertise our existence and let people themselves decide

I woudn't call it spamming cause we are not selling frigerators or viagra to
google map makers, experience makes me say that 8 of 10 google map makers
I've contacted they didn't have no idea about the OSM map project and they
are interested in helping with their data, those that didn't want to
participated instead they gave their opinions why they don't like OSM which
is a good feedback to learn and improve.

Hi all,

as an OSM evangelizer I realize that convincing people that has not too much
interest on GIS to join the OSM army is a bit difficult, that's why I had
the idea of going to the http://www.google.com/mapmaker site and contact by
mail the contributors and try to convince them to join the OSM idea.

By scrolling the map you'll realize that in the bottom-right side of the
screen will appear the top contributors and if you are lucky they will have
a google profile where you can send them a email, or contact them trough
their blog, google picassa, etc

In an afternoon I was able to find a group of 6 ecuatorians very interested
in tracing streets(they were google map makers of course) that didn't know
anything about OSM and that didn't know that Google is taking advantage of
their efforts that they do for free. Most of them are very interested in OSM
and they just need a bit of help of how to start.

I think you guys can do the same, let's try to let know the google mapmakers
that there is a project similar of what they are doing named OpenStreetMap
where their efforts will not be closed later by any company or similar.

Hola, en Valencia han pintaron hace tiempo con carriles bici para dar
preferencia a las bicis en una calle normal.

He visto que en OSM esto está taggeado como:

highway: terciary (el tipo de calle que sea)
cycleway: lane


Pero en el renderizado del mapa no se consigue apreciar nada que haga pensar
que también es un carril bici. Algun otro tag que lo resuelva?

Hi, thks for the answers, but wordpress.org does not allow to install 3rd
party plugins into their online hosting blogs, and the solution of an static
image is a bit limited cause then user won't be able to drag the map or zoom
out to see the roads access, etc.

[OSM-talk] Error in OSM site when Exporting to Embedded HTML

Hi, I realized that when I click in the EXPORT tab of OSM.org and I choose
the Embedded HTML radiobox, it appears a link that says: Click here to
select a marker, but when I click later on in the map, no marker is placed,
I'm using Firefox 3 in my Kubuntu.

Any help? I'm sure it can be really easy to fix.

I recommend you any GPS with GPRS inside (SIM card) so you can put the
device for few days inside the taxi and export the data into GPX from a
website, etc.

Another option is not having the GPRS and just dump the GPX data once you

useful to be used for a vehicles fleet management system ?  (all vehicles
carry a GPS unit) and the maps should be based on OpenStreetMap.

 I don't know such software in the non-commercial world. But if you
 write your own, I may help with protocolls.

 One of the things I'm
 writing for Traveling Salesman is a web-service to collect traffic
 information. A next step for me would then be to make a general
 protcoll that can carry much more data (like vehicle-positions,
 routes or voice-chat between multiple vehicles in a convoy).
 So we may make the protocolls between cars, servers and desktop-
 clients open and general enough so they can be supported by and
 usefully for many others here.

 UN data repo's to contribute their base road, river, rail, and admin
 boundary data to OSM.  So far, we have cleaned and imported 6

 we can see the data in Potlach, then onto the other layers for each of
 the 6 countries.  And there are still 5 more countries available to us
 to work on.

 we had a bit of trouble with DRC (it's a huge file).

 We've received several emails from folks wanting to help us in this
 process.  Now that we (think) we've got our feet under us, we hope to

[OSM-talk] Moving few meters some OSM/SHP file

Hi, is there any program GUI or command line that allows me to move all the
nodes of a OSM/SHP file few meters in any direction N/S/E/W ?

I've tried JOSM but I need to do it manually sellecting all the nodes and
moving with SHIFT+arrows

characters, altought uDig didn't have any?

Is that a known problem?

[Talk-es] mover varios metros un mapa SHP o OSM

Hola a todos, quisiera saber cómo desplazar varios metros hacia el
norte/sur/este/oeste todas las aritas de un fichero SHP o OSM.

El JOSM no me vale porque sólo me permite seleccionarlo todo y hacer
SHIFT+flechas para desplazar las aritas.

Hola José,

he probado el OpenJump y me gusta más que el uDig, que al estar basado en
Eclipse me va más lento, tiene fallos de renderización,etc.

Lo único que no he podido conseguir hacer es poder modificar/grabar los
datos de mi Postgis directamente desde el OpenJump, puedo editarlos, pero no
sé como grabarlos, ya que cuando le doy a Guardar datos seleccionados me
da un error de
SaveDatasetsPlugIn Exception:java.lang.NullPointerException

 Saludos, ya nos dirás como te ha ido. A mí de momento me funciona genial,
 he probado con el OSM de Valencia y me lo carga en la base de datos de
 Pgrouting (postgis) y entonces uso la función

 SELECT assign_vertex_id('edges', 0.0001, 'the_geom', 'gid');  para crear
 los vértices de las intersecciones de las vías.


 Me gusta mucho como trabaja esta utilidad. Ahora las intersecciones si que
 son generadas perfectamente, sin tener que recurrir a herramientas externas
 (ej. OpenJump, GRASS, ArcInfo). El resultado es muy notable, y tiene en
 cuenta los pasos a distintos nivel,
 no computa elementos lineales no rutables (ríos, barrancos, ffcc,tram).
 (ej:http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=38.37951lon=-0.45314zoom=16layers=B000FTF
 )
 , asigna el coste en función de la dirección, lo mismo para el
 reverse_cost, genera los x1,y1,x2,y2 sólo. Vamos, que preparado para
 realizar cálculos de rutas optimas a la primera.

 Sólo le veo una mini-pega, es que desaparece la columna del tipo de vía,
 que es sustituida por class_id, que viene definida en el fichero de
 configuración xml (mapconfig.xml).



 Después ya puedo calcular mis rutas usando

 DROP TABLE IF EXISTS dijsktra_result;

 CREATE TABLE dijsktra_result(gid int4) with oids;

 SELECT AddGeometryColumn('dijsktra_result', 'the_geom', '4326',
 'MULTILINESTRING', 2);

  Donde 52 es el vértice de inicio y 35 es el vértice de llegada, son
 ejemplos.
 Finalmente para visualizar esa ruta generado uso el uDIG para conectarme
 directamente a la BBDD y lo representa en colores muy chulo.


 Sí en uDig te parece chulo, te aseguro que con OpenJump, con la opción Capa
 - Ejecutar consulta de almacén de datos - tu query sql donde debes de
 formatear la columna geometria por st_aseWkb(tu columna geométrica)  el
 resultado es sensacional. Reconozco que tengo debilidad por OpenJump, es muy
 didáctico.

 En fin, que muchas gracias por la información.

 Por último, he pensado realizar un mini-manual sobre este tema y colgarlo
 en la wiki de OSM para que todos tengamos un punto de partida. y mejorarlo y
 ampliarlo al gusto de todos. Cuando lo tenga lo comunicaré a la comunidad.
 Creo que ya sólo queda realizar salidas por internet con OpenLayer o
 MapServer.

 probarlo, te sirve para aplicar las funciones de cálculo de rutas de

 Tienes razón, existe esta utilidad, pero he intentado compilarla en mi
 distro (Ubuntu 8.10) y no he podido. Me da muchos errores de compilación.
 Sin embargo, en la web de osm2pgrouting, los pasos para la compilación están
 ensayados en Ubuntu 8.04, por lo que no te puedo decir que hace o como.


 Si es así, nos puedes ponder algunos pasitos de como hacerlo?


 Ya te he respondido antes. No he podido compilar la utilidad. Pero te puedo
 decir lo que he hecho hasta ahora, que es bastante casero, pero al menos a
 mi me funciona en un 80 % para calcular rutas.

 1. descargar zona de osm (por ej. con josm), o si nuestro proyecto es
 ambicioso todo el osm de España que existe en CloudMade o otras.
 2. aplicar osm2pgsql para generar la geodatabase. Nota: PostGIS debe de
 estas instalado previamente en la base de datos a utilizar
 3. normalizar la tabla nombre_lines:

- añadir índices al osm_id, o mejor, renombrarlo a gid. Si no hacemos
estos no podremos ver el resultado (mapa) en programas como Qgis que exigen
un índice en la tabla geométrica.
- opcionalmente:convertir oneway en un booleano, y poner true o yes a
true, y false o null a false
- crear columnas: source, target, cost, reverse_cost, x1, y1, x2, y2

 4. En OpenJump cargo la tabla de PostGIS y creo el grafo: Herramientas -
 Edición geométrica - Convertir - Crear grafo
 Creará 4 tablas, y me las llevo a PostGIS
 5. En Postgres con todas esas tablas realizo los SQL necesarios (join,
 updates, create table, etc)  para tenerlo todo en una sólo tabla.
 6. Como me preocupa bastante el tema del coste por direcciones lo que hago
 es multiplicar por un valor (*1000) el valor del lenght de todas las filas
 cuyo valor oneway sea true, y lo mismo para las roundabout. En mi caso el
 length que utilizo es el de la UTM, pero, como ha dicho el compañero Martín
 Vales, me calentaré el coco para utilizarlo en geográficas (¡gracias Martín
 por la info¡)

Hola Jonay,

con el enlace WMS que comenta Juan Lucas,  no hace falta pedirles al editor
Potlatch que sustituyan la parte de canarias.

Simplemente bajate el editor JOSM (la última versión estable .jar) y añade
el plugin wmsplugin, entonces puedes usar estas nuevas ortofotos para calcar
los mapas de ellas, también el WMS del catastro oficial español es muy bueno
para ver tema de calles, número de puertas, etc.

[OSM-talk] avoid-obstacles algorithm

Hi everybody

we would like to implement for disabled persons that will help them to find
the route by avoiding obstacles or undesired areas in the map.

An example of this is http://seamster.cs.umd.edu:8090/map/index.html , where
you can add dinamically obstacles that you will not like to pass by.

That means that we are looking for some open source software(or library)
that allows us to do that. Another approach could be giving a high WEIGHT to
some paths so that way the route algorithm will avoid passing by there.
