Hi,

have any plans been made for a Lug radio mapping party? I am free on
Sat and would happily do some mapping in Wolverhampton.

Trying to organise a party in conjunction with LUGRadio has been a problem.
They are out of tickets (so unless you have a ticket you cant get in - non
available on the door this time) plus they do not have any exhibitor
space.

We therefore have three options.

1. To still do it but use an external venue (I'll do the talk at LUGRadio
live at 3pm)
2. To move the mapping to Sunday and tie in with oggcamp. There will be
plenty from LUGRadio live who are going to oggcamp and if I broadcast our
attendance on the Saturday we should get a good crowd.
3. Do both of the above.

Thoughts?

Awesome, thanks Christoph. Anyone else want to chip in before I get a quote?
We have about half a dozen more to pick up to cover the whole of the west
mids. I still have a few to upload and I'm getting the Wolverhapton sheet on
loan this week to scan (should be available for next weekends mapping). We
still need sheets for Coventry for instance. I'll sponsor the sheet to the
NE of Birmingham that has Sutton on it.

 companies like David Archer Maps but the cost will around £8 a sheet
 (they quote for what you want each time). Currently I'm getting them
 as and when they come up on ebay for much less (with 2027 in the set
 to collect its too much at £8 a sheet) but if anyone wants to sponsor
 a sheet I'll check what the current retail price is.

I am happy to sponsor for the two sheets south west and south of the SW
Birmingham sheet. I was about to buy an up-to-date map for walking in
the area but I rather spend the money for a 50 years old map and walk
without a map.
