The Difference Between Hotels, Vacation Homes and a Bed and Breakfast

Article Description:

When it is time to take the family on vacation, most of us think
only about getting a hotel room. Sure, we might also consider a
tent campground, a RV or travel trailer, and possibly even a
beach condo, but how many of us realize that we have more choices
for a place to sleep while on vacation? In this article, we take
a funny look at the joys of vacation accommodations.

When it is time to take the family on vacation, most of us think
only about getting a hotel room. Sure, we might also consider a
tent campground, a RV or travel trailer, and possibly even a
beach condo, but how many of us realize that we have more choices
for a place to sleep while on vacation?

To be honest, I am a pretty smart guy and I have been doing the
vacation thing, first with my parents and then with my wife and
kids, but until a few years ago, I never knew there was such a
thing as a bed and breakfast or vacation home rental. I only
become aware of these alternate types of vacation accommodations
when I was in my early thirties - a decade ago.

The Campground Experience

My dad knew about hotels of course, but he would never consider
spending money in such a wasteful manner. Until I was twelve, we
only stayed in a tent when we went on vacation. Three years in a
row, we got caught out in massive downpours while we were
camping. Our tent - although pretty nice - leaked when it rained.
Three vacations in a row, we had to pack up and leave in the
middle of the night, after we woke to find ourselves in an inch
of water inside our tent.

My mother had a great deal of influence over my dad... in a weird
kind of way. After three years of ruined vacations, she put her
foot down. She told him that we would never spend our vacations
in a tent again. She got her way, but not in the way she
expected. She won her argument; we never again spent our vacation
in a tent. But dad got his way too; we never did spend money on a
hotel room, instead, we spent his vacation in our own house.
After I was twelve, we never again took a family vacation.

Well, that is almost true. When I was sixteen, dad bought one of
those pop-up campers. When I was sixteen, we took a family
vacation and stayed in the pop-up camper travel trailer. But
wouldn’t you know... it rained and the camper leaked too. So that
was the final end of our family vacations.

The Hotel Experience

As an adult, I did not have the same kind of qualms my father had
about hotels. When my wife and I went to Las Vegas for our
honeymoon, we stayed at the Stratosphere hotel. From our
overpriced hotel room, we were able to look out our window and
see... the concrete wall at the base of the tower. It was
awesome.

After our kids were born, we took two vacations to San Antonio,
where we stayed with my wife’s aunt and uncle. But the drive down
was pretty lengthy, so we caught hotel rooms in transit. We would

Sea World Orlando Water Park is central Florida's premier marine

Theatrical Performances

Shamu, the killer whale, performs in the Shamu Stadium in Sea
World's signature performance called Believe. This show
features a choreographed demonstration of music, video, stunts,
and splashing whales, to deliver one of the most unforgettable
performances you will have the pleasure of viewing in this
lifetime.

Also at Sea World Orlando is the Cirque-du-Soleil-style show
called Blue Horizons. Blue Horizons is a show that integrates the
performance of trained dolphins and birds, enabling visitors to
enjoy the beauty of nature and the theatrics of the choreographed
animal performances.

Exhibitions

My favorite Sea World Orlando treat is the acrylic tube walkway
through and under the giant shark tank, called the Shark
Encounter. The opportunity to see a wide variety of fish species
up close and personal in their own habitat is a thrill to those
of us who never took up snorkeling.

The exhibit begins at the Sharks Underwater Grill, a sit-down
restaurant, which features windows looking into the huge fish
tanks above and beside the restaurant. If you are traveling
without children, you will find that if you are willing to sit in
the restaurant bar, then you can frequently bypass the lines of
families waiting for a table. In the restaurant bar, you can
order a drink, and you may order from the full restaurant menu as
well.

If you have never been to Sea World Orlando, you might be
surprised to learn that you will see more species of fish than
just sharks.

As you enter the acrylic tunnel, you will find an artificial reef
built into the display, and in the first tank, you will be able
to view moray eels swimming with a wide variety of reef fish, in
and around the artificial reef that has been designed to mimic
the natural habitat known to these fish.

As you progress down the tunnel, you will see a number of fish
tanks separated from the others, each with their own habitat and
species of fish.

In the various tanks, you can see:

 * The Camouflaged Lion Fish - The feathery appendages of the
camouflaged lion fish are actually poisonous spines that can
inflict great pain on any swimmer that actually touches its
spines.

 * Fugu is also known as the Puffer Fish - If you have ever seen
Spongebob Squarepants, Spongebob's driving instructor is a
Puffer Fish - Ms. Puff. The Puffer Fish is considered to be one

When was the last time you stayed at a bed and breakfast (bb) on
your vacation? If the answer is never, I am about to introduce
you to one of the most underutilized vacation resources.
Otherwise, I am about to tell you how you can get the most out of
your vacation, by asking a few simple questions.

What Is A Bed And Breakfast?

For those readers who know exactly what a Bed And Breakfast is,
please skip this section. You may be surprised that not everyone
knows why a Bed And Breakfast would be better than a hotel room.

In the very simplest of terms, a bed and breakfast proprietor is
usually someone who bought a big house and converted it into a
full service hotel.

Most bed and breakfasts have one-, two- or three-bedrooms for
rent. All rooms have either a private bath, private hot tub or
both. Most bb's have a big screen hdtv in their rooms, with DVD
players and movies to watch.

Bed n Breakfast proprietors provide three meals per day - often
provided by a chef, either in the guest's room or in the dining
room.

Pampered Like Royalty

For the average bb guest, there is no reason to ever leave the
bed and breakfast to enjoy ones' self. Many couples choose the
bb vacation, to lock themselves away from the world outside and
to be pampered in the manner of royalty.

But other couples want to get out and explore the world around
them, while on vacation.

As a general rule, the bed and breakfast proprietor has a finger
on the pulse of tourism, to a greater degree than any other
person involved in the tourism industry.

The big city-sponsored tourism websites tend to only highlight
the big traffic attractions that will bring the most people to
their town on vacation.

City-sponsored travel websites are more focused on bringing more
tax dollars to their city, so they are not going to pay much
attention to those private affairs where only a dozen or so
guests are expected to attend.

Bed and breakfast proprietors on the other hand tend to keep an
eye open for smaller events that their guests would enjoy. Since
BB guests typically want to be pampered, BB owners network with
other small business owners to find out about those
under-the-radar events that they believe their guests will
appreciate and enjoy.

Examples Of Under-The-Radar Festivities

Some of the larger Bed and Breakfast establishments will feature
wine-tasting parties for local vineyards. Generally, the only way
that you will hear about a wine-tasting party is to call the
vineyard in question, or to ask your bed and breakfast host.

Local art studios are always looking for ways to get guests into
the building to view their art. Often, art

A Guide to Must-See Beaches in SW FLA:

A wonderful place to visit and enjoy is southwest Florida, using
Ft. Myers as a base for your explorations. Ft. Myers is 90
minutes south of Tampa on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Ft.
Myers and the surrounding communities boast of having the
world's best weather from October through May (and it's not too
bad the rest of the year either).

The incredible weather and world famous beaches make the area a
magnet for beach lovers. The beaches of Ft. Myers, Sanibel and
Captiva Islands provide plenty of opportunities for families and
kids of all ages to enjoy what the area has to offer by the Gulf.

Soaking up the sun is a major attraction... It is inexpensive,
restful, fun and something nearly everyone can do. The Ft. Myers
area provides 50 miles of white sand and warm water to explore.

In fact, Ft. Myers beach is designed for the beach goer. Along
Ft. Myers main drag, Estero Blvd, you will find public beach
access points well identified by numbered signs. Most also allow
parking and are only a few steps from the sand.

Bowditch Point Park at the north end of Ft. Myers Beach has a
wonderful view of the Matzanzass Pass, the inland waterway on the
east side of the island. The west side of the Park is a beach on
the Gulf that is popular but never as crowded as the beaches
further south. Bowditch Point is also close to beach-style shops
that have that right souvenir for everyone.

Just south of Ft. Myers Beach is Lover's Key State Park, voted
one of the top 10 beaches in Florida. The Park is made up of
mangroves and waterways you can walk through to get to the
pristine beach. The western side of the Park has a boat ramp for
anyone visiting that way.

North of Ft. Myers is Sanibel Island and at the far northern end
of Sanibel is Captiva Island. Sanibel is another dose of paradise
for the beach lover. Lighthouse Point on the southern end of
Sanibel puts you right out on a strip of land that's has water
on three sides.

Follow West Gulf Drive to the beach near the Casa Ybel resort if
you love seashells. You'll see people going up and down the
beach doing the Sanibel Stoop bending over to pick up
seashells for their collections.

Also on Sanibel is the Ding Darling National Wildlife
Preserve. You can rent bikes, boats or kayaks at the Preserve and
tour the island on land or water. The Preserve makes up
approximately half of the island, so plan on spending an entire
day if you want to see the entire Preserve. Ospreys, egrets and

Hershey, Pennsylvania is a great location to take a vacation.

While it is bustling with tourists in the summer, it is a quaint,
small town that is very welcoming and full of beautiful scenery
year around.

There are lots of different attractions you can visit if you come
to Hershey. Conveniently, it is also less than 20 minutes away
from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania's capital, which has additional
entertainment, venues and museums to visit.

In Hershey, the main attraction you should go to is Hershey Park.
Hershey Park is a large amusement park with lots of roller
coasters, small rides, kids rides, arcade games, a water park,
tons of food and restaurants, gift shops, you name it! The park
is very large and some people buy two-day passes, but you can
also buy a one-day pass or a night-pass.

Adjacent to Hershey Park is Hershey's Chocolate World, a free
venue that has a free tour ride through the chocolate factory.
There is also several gift shops that have a wide selection of
candies and apparel for sale, as well as lots of other
merchandise.

There are several places to eat inside Chocolate World, including
a cafe, food court, and an ice cream, fudge and cookie stand to
satisfy your sweet tooth.

Chocolate World also has a 3D show about Milton S. Hershey, and
there is also a Trolley Ride through the town with actors who
depict the history of Hershey and how Milton S. Hershey started
Hershey's Chocolate.

If you are visiting Hershey sometime other than the summer
season, Hershey Park and Chocolate World will still be available
to you.

Hershey Park is open in the fall for Hershey Park in the Dark; in
the winter for Christmas Candy lane; and in the spring for
Springtime in the Park. Chocolate World is open all year round.

If you visit Hershey over Christmastime, there is a great
Christmas lights show called Sweet Lights. You drive through it,
so you only need to pay a certain amount per car. The lights are
beautiful and amazing, and the light show organizers create
pictures using the lights.

Other attractions to visit in Hershey include the Hershey Museum,
the Hershey Gardens and The Hershey Outlets. These attractions
are informative, beautiful and relaxing.

The Hershey Outlets is bringing in new and better stores every
year, making it a great and affordable place to shop! Another
place you can visit while in Hershey is the Hershey Hotel. Even
if you don't stay in the Hotel, you can visit their spa, and
pamper yourself by getting a massage, manicure/pedicure, or
Chocolate mask.

In addition to the various attractions, Hershey boasts two huge
arenas that host a large number of big bands and musical acts
throughout the year. The Giant Center and Hershey

minutes south of Tampa on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

Ospreys, egrets and
other local bird life are great to look for.

If you want to go further north to the next island, take
Sanibel-Captiva Road to Captiva Island where some of the most
romantic beaches in the world can be found. It's not unusual to
see weddings on the beach west of the T'ween Waters Inn. Or
drive up to the South Seas Island Resort for a luxurious stay or
lunch. A local favorite is the Mucky Duck at the end of Andy
Rosse Lane. It's a great place for an island dinner, drinks and
a view of the sunset on the beach that seems to extend right up
to the restaurant's front steps.

All in all, the Ft. Myers area is a must see for any beach lover.
Once you enjoy the Paradise Coast of Florida, you'll want to
enjoy it again and again.

Ann Arbor, Michigan is the home of the University of Michigan, a
leading institution of higher education. Ann Arbor is a wonderful
place to visit. The University is co-mingled with the city and
greatly expands the cultural places and events available in the
area.

The University offers several museums which are open to the
public, usually only for a small donation. Near the central
campus area are the Art Museum, the Museum of Natural History,
and the Kelsey Museum of Archeology.

 * The Art Museum has a great collection and has recently
expanded their facility.

 * The Museum of Natural History also has a planetarium.

There are several performance venues in town and nearly always a
very wide variety of musical performances available. The U of M
also has two carillons which provide periodic performances, as
well as tours. One is located at Burton Tower on the main campus,
and one is located on the north campus.

Another fun place for kids and adults is the Ann Arbor Hands on
Museum, located in the old firehouse near City Hall. The museum
has many interactive science displays and demonstrations, as well
as a gift shop.

The city of Ann Arbor has dozens of city parks. One of the
largest of these is Gallup Park on the Huron River. The park has
miles of pathways, many paved, boat rentals, playgrounds,
fishing, and other activities. It is also possible to rent canoes
for trips down the scenic Huron River.

The U of M has the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols
Arboretum, both beautiful places to stroll and relax.

There are also numerous opportunities to either watch or
participate in sports. The U of M Football team plays on
Saturdays throughout the fall at the famous Michigan Stadium.
Crisler Arena, next door to Michigan Stadium hosts basketball
games, as well as other events. There are also hockey, swimming,
diving, volleyball, track, and gymnastic events, just to name a
few.

Check well in advance for tickets, especially for football games.
Football Saturdays in Ann Arbor are a fun and memorable
experience, even if you can't get in to the game. It is
sometimes possible to catch a practice by the Michigan Band in
the fall, as well.

For participating in sporting activities, the city has the
Washtenaw County Recreation Center, the Ice Cube, the Y, city
pools, bike paths, and bike lanes on many city streets.

An amazing spectrum of food is available throughout the city.
Zingerman's Deli, though a bit pricey, deserves a special
mention because of their rich offering of amazingly yummy foods.
Some food establishments come and go, and others have been around
for decades, but there is no lack of opportunity for great food.

Each summer during the last week of July, the city transforms
itself for the Art Fairs. All of downtown and campus is covered
with artists booths. Several different art fairs cover all genres
of art, from exquisite fine art, to all ilk of crafts. Several
stages are located throughout the city for the art fairs and live
entertainment is plentiful.

Ann Arbor is a beautiful, tree filled city with many bike and
walking paths. Public transportation is readily available, with
guides available on most buses, as well as online. It is wise to
take advantage of the public transportation or bike paths because
parking is often a challenge, especially for large events. Ann
Arbor is a great city with lots of things to see and do. Downtown
is nearly always alive at night, as well as during the day. Go
visit and have fun!

Often, art studios host a party
to show off local artists or other art collections. Art museums
can typically turn to the city-sponsored travel websites to get
the word out about their showing, but the smaller venues
typically need to network with locals to attract an audience. The
local BB proprietors are usually one of the first contacts on
the art studio managers' calling list.

Charity events are a frequent attraction, which pampers all who
come to visit. Very likely, your bb proprietor will be the first
to know about upcoming charity events and the benefits that
attendees will receive, if they attend.

Private tours are another tourist attraction that usually escape
notice of the larger tourism destinations, which your bed and
breakfast proprietor will know about. On a recent bb excursion,
my wife and I were told of a private tour of a local haunted
house. We enjoyed the haunted house tour immensely. Of course, a
midnight tromp through any

Sea World Orlando Water Park is central Florida's premier marine
life park, accepting visitors year around and presenting its
guests with an sea wildlife experience that will be enjoyed by
children and adults alike.

Puff. The Puffer Fish is considered to be one
of the world's most poisonous fish and accounts for several
human deaths each year. The Japanese consider its edible portions
to be a delicacy, and Fugu Chefs must be licensed in Japan in
order to prepare this fish for eating. The Fugu Chef must be
trained to separate the poison glands from the meat of the fish,
but mistakes are sometimes made, and people die from Fugu
poisoning after ingesting this fish.

 * Surgeon Fish - Surgeon Fish swim in the same tank as the
Puffer Fish (Fugu). Although beautiful, the Surgeon Fish carries
a secret weapon, in the form of fins near its tail that are
extremely sharp to the touch. If a person or other creature grabs
the Surgeon Fish, it will whip its tail violently, often
inflicting a deep cut on the person or animal that crossed its
path.

 * Barracuda - In a nearby tank, one can see Barracuda up close
and personal. Although the Barracuda has a fierce reputation, it
seldom attacks humans swimming in its midst

The Difference Between Hotels, Vacation Homes and a Bed and Breakfast

We would
catch a hotel room for one night on the way to San Antonio, and
we would catch a room on the way home.

We got on well with hotels in our travels, up until we stayed at
the Best Western one night. Everything went well, until we went
to check out. Imagine our shock and anger, when we realized that
the hotel had supplied a PlayStation in our room, and our four-
and six-year-old children got up in the middle of the night to
play video games. Our $45 hotel room ended up costing us $120!!
OMG I was pissed!

The Vacation Rental Experience

I have to say that when I finally discovered vacation home
rentals, I was pleased to no end. If I am going to spend $120 per
night, you simply cannot beat the vacation rental experience.

Especially when you are doing several nights at your vacation
destination, the vacation rental makes a whole lot of sense. If
you are yet aware of it, the vacation home rental is exactly what
it sounds like. It is a home that you

Vacation Rentals - Undiscovered Travel Retreats

http://www.findvacationrentals.com/

Vacation time may be several months away, and you may be starting
to think about where and what might be the perfect vacation this
year - the beach, golf resort, SCUBA diving, skiing, maybe just
sight seeing? And you think about places you have been - and the
problems you have had.

You cannot forget the time you went on vacation and discovered
that the rooms that were really too small, or the room service
was bad. There was also the time that the people in the next unit
were loud and obnoxious, and the primary reason you had taken a
vacation was to find peace and quiet. If only you could have the
comforts of your home magically transported to your fantasy
destination, then you could have had the perfect vacation.

Well, your dream arrangement is (almost) possible - you just have
to look at vacation rental of a home, condo or cabin instead of
hotels, motels and resorts. If you've never tried a vacation
rental, there is a whole world of opportunities out there, just
waiting for you to discover them.

Lots of people have vacation homes or condos that they use only
part of the year. Many of these people rent out their places when
they know they aren't going to be there to use it themselves.
The process is a little different than pulling up in front of a
Best Western or Holiday Inn, but the principle is the same - you
get to use a room or set of rooms where you are able to reside,
for the length of your vacation.

Normally hotel, motel or resort rooms are relatively small. So
things can get a bit tight, particularly if the kids are along,
or if are there or two, three or four couples who have a routine
of vacationing together. By renting a vacation home or condo you
will get more space, some privacy, and you may be able to get
luxury features you haven't been able to install yet under your
own roof. Another thing - you can find vacation rental units of
practically all kinds, practically anywhere in the country - or,
for that matter, in the world.

There are literally thousands of places available that are
private homes, condos, cabins, etc., available for vacation
rental. And, the facilities available in these rentals range from
rustic to lavish, comfortable and spacious.

There are thousands of companies around the world acting as
agents for owners. Many of these agents have listings in every
state of the United States, plus Mexico and the Caribbean. They
are really just booking agents, but they have information on a
huge number of properties in a large number of locations. They
have listings in Central America, Africa, Europe, the Middle
East, Asia and the South Pacific. Unless you had your heart set
on a vacation in Antarctica, it doesn't seem like there can be
much of anywhere that you will not be able to find vacation
rentals.

Most agents found online and offline have vacation rental homes
in US destinations, and many also have access to international
listings. On the Internet, you will be able to find listings
provided by agents - and vacation rentals by owner. At most
websites that cater to the vacation rental industry, listings
will contain a full inventory of what a particular property has
to offer the vacationer and most of those listings contain
several photographs, including interior and exterior photos.

Many vacation home rentals can be found near the center of major
tourist areas, such as Disney World in Florida, or near beaches -
perhaps even

Top Five Fishing Spots In Florida:

1 -- St. Johns River: salty and fresh

2 -- When it's on, West Lake Toho hard to beat

3 -- Sebastian Inlet is tricky, but worth the lost tackle

4 -- Indian River Lagoon's calm water boasts array of fish

5 -- You'll find it's the redfish that bite at Mosquito Lagoon

Other Great Fishing Spots in Florida

GENEVA - Meandering through Central Florida, the St. Johns River
is a top-notch fishery and a scenic getaway for any angler. There
are many lakes along the river loaded with fish, attracting all
types to try their luck. The hardcore bass anglers tap Lake
Monroe in Sanford and Lake George in Astor for trophy fish.
Puzzle Lake is good for those wanting to get in on the shad run.
But it's the river that draws the most attention. This is a
place all walks of life can fish. Those with high-performance
bass boats and those with pontoon boats can cruise along at their
own speed and find plenty of places to put a few in the bucket.
Family outings are common and if you want to keep the kids
involved - look for areas holding lots of bluegills,
shellcrackers and bream; odds are you won't have to look too
long. While in Geneva, try a family fun cabin rental for a unique
lodging experience.

THE KISSIMMEE CHAIN OF LAKES from 200 to more than 40,000 acres.
Lake Kissimmee weighs in as the biggest lake at 44,000 acres.
West Lake Tohopekaliga is one of the most popular lakes, and is
the host lake for Bassmaster Elite Series events on the chain.
With the numbers of anglers on the lake, and the constant
pressure, you have to use varying tactics to find out what the
fish want on the day you fish. The old adage is, if the fish
are active on West Lake Toho, that's the place you want to be,
said John Bitter, owner of Bitter's Bait and Tackle in Longwood.
Of course, when they're off, it's really off, but it's the
best place to be when they're on. Other lakes include Lake
Cypress, Hatchineha and East Lake Tohopekaliga.

Kissimmee grass and hydrilla are always good places to start your
search. The lakes are filled with vegetation and plenty of ambush
points. The time of year and the water temperature should be the
deciding factors on your tactics. The thoughts of snook, redfish,
tarpon and a wide variety of possible catches dance through the
mind. As you near the bridge and enter the park, the blood starts
pumping quickly when you finally see the water. When you hook up
on one of the inlet's bruiser redfish, huge snook or maybe a
Goliath grouper, you understand just why you made the trip.

TITUSVILLE - With miles of flats to pick and choose from, the
Indian River Lagoon gives anglers the perfect place to fish. The
river, which stretches along the Atlantic Coast from Ponce Inlet
to Jupiter Inlet, offers a huge variety of fish to target. The
Indian River Lagoon is the most diverse estuary in the world,
said Jim Ross, a veteran captain. A lot of offshore and inshore
fish breed in the river. You can find snapper, grouper and tarpon
as well as the normal species. In the northern portion of the
river, from Titusville to Scotts-moor, redfish are the main draw.
Not just any redfish, but big schools of large redfish. These
fish have long been targeted and are strictly catch-and-release.
The slot-size for redfish is 18 to 27 inches. Most fish in these
schools are well over 40 inches. Look for a vacation rental for
your Titusville fishing experience.

MERRITT ISLAND - The Mosquito Lagoon is a flats fishing paradise.
Labeled as the redfish capital of the world, the lagoon lives up
to its billing. Tailing redfish can be found all over

Florida is the one state in the United States that offers
Sportsmen a crack at saltwater fishing in its backwaters without
once making a wish for a more comfortable environment. Balmy,
warm and breathtakingly beautiful the sunshine state is the
perfect contender for a fishing vacation. A Florida fishing
vacation is an angler's idea of what heaven should be like. A
prime Fishing Vacation Destination for Great Bass Fishing and
Sport Fishing. With Incredible Freshwater Fishing Lakes like:
Lake Okeechobee, Lake George, Lake Kissimmee, Orange Lake and
Sport Fishing on the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico.

Generations of sportsmen have tried their hand at snagging what
can only be described as an angler's dream, a tarpon, exclusive
to the area of Florida Keys and Lake Tarpon. These legendarily
elusive fish are within close proximity to many Florida vacation
rentals or cabin rentals.

Florida with its overwhelming abundance of mangroves, backwaters
and everglades may not seem like the ideal freshwater fishing
vacation state. But a closer look reveals the presence of several
freshwater lakes such as, Lake Trafford, Lake George, Lake
Istokpoga, Lake Jackson, Lake Talquin, Lake Tarpon and Lake Toho.
The bass and tarpon at these freshwater lakes are best enjoyed
when the fishing party takes advantage of the numerous vacation
cabin rental offers at locations near the fishing destination of
choice. Cabin rentals are attractive for the boat fisherman, who
can often walk out of the cabin, and down a path to the boat
docked out front.

Apart from the lakes the presence of large canal systems such as
Cape Coral and Golden Gate, Florida offers an ideal environment
for large mouth bass and panfish. Indeed it isn't an uncommon
sight for sportsmen to fish in drainage canals along a road.

Saltwater Fishing in Florida is an experience like none other
with a wide panorama of estuaries, bays, mangroves, tidal creeks,
backwaters and everglades. Florida is host to one of the most
rewarding saltwater fishing haunts in the world. A haven for the
discriminating enthusiast, the most sought after gamefish in the
world tarpon, snook and spotted seatrout are to be found here.

The oyster bars, the seagrass beds and several wetlands protected
by federal and state laws, which have also specified aquatic
preserves are among the several reasons that Florida is among the
most desirable fishing vacations in the world. The area around
the ten thousand islands and rookery bay is considered the most
fertile bass fishing ground in the US. The maintenance of these
preserves is always the top priority for the local
administration.

From the magnificent watery forests to the ecological wonders, a
world of serenity and breathtaking seascapes awaits. It's up to
