If it wasn't for this bug, I could recommend mapped gnomevfs-ssh folders as a simple file-sharing arrangement that would work well for most people most of the time. Setting up Samba can be complicated, especially if you want to give write access for specific people to specific folders, whereas mapping a gnomevfs-ssh connection is an incredibly simple, secure, and even elegant solution...if only it didn't crash Openoffice. I can also reproduce it with Ubuntu Gutsy using the attached file from bug submitter. The #include stdlio.h in foo.c test case is not necessary. Thank you for the reply. In Ubuntu 7.04 I had issues with MS Pro Duo. The system refused to copy files to it as well MS Pro was not detected at all. In 7.10 I was able to copy what I want to the MS Pro Duo. I did't try that for the Pro version but I think it would work too. Yes it is still an issue and it happens with the Vanilla 2.6.24-rc2 kernel too. The problem seems to be that snd_emu10k1 can't be unloaded. Suspend doesn't work on demand but if I shut down system it goes to standby instead because the part that prevents it is shutdown or something like that. I didn't have gnome-bluetooth installed. but this is not a default program, right? Anyway, it didn't change the behaviour that I started it. I still can't connect. Also I tested with a Kubuntu 7.10 live cd. It doesn't work. It does however work out of the box with an old 6.06 Kubuntu dapper cd I had lying around. I extracted the ati-driver-installer package, and copied (sudo cp ./common/etc/ati/control /etc/ati/) the control file. That got rid of the unsupported hardware logo.
