[Bug 221897] Re: Some Compiz settings ignored when using fusion-icon
No I don't believe so (from memory). It's quite possible that this problem no longer occurs, as both the nVidia drivers and Compiz has moved on considerably since I reported this. When I get a chance I'll try to replicate it again on the PC I originally had this problem with. -- Some Compiz settings ignored when using fusion-icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221897 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 221897] Re: Some Compiz settings ignored when using fusion-icon
By tearing I mean, vsync is not enabled. I actually had a go at debugging this and quite frankly the code of fusion icon is something I would be embarrassed of if it were my work. I'm not using it any more, mainly because I have no need to turn compiz on and off any more. -- Some Compiz settings ignored when using fusion-icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221897 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 222852] [NEW] Mystery power button events on resume
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager gnome-power-manager is detecting dozens of Power button events after resuming from S3. This is accompanied by a large number of Action Forbidden - The policy timeout is invalid popups on the desktop. I have no idea where these events are coming from, however they do cause many problems. For example, if in gnome-power-manager the power button action is set to Ask Me, you will get the logout screen displayed to you, over and over. If you set the action to Suspend, the system gets stuck in a seemingly infinite loop of suspends. To replicate: 1. In gnome-power-manager, set the Power Button action to Ask Me 2. Suspend the system. 3. Resume the system. Expected: system resumes and normal work can continue. Actual: unable to perform anything because the logout screen keeps popping up. Restarting X with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace doesn't help. Temporary workaround - disable the Power Button action in gconf-editor under apps/gnome-power-manager/buttons by setting the power entry to nothing. Hardware: Desktop PC with AMD X2 5600+, 2Gb DDR, 2 SATA hard disks. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Mystery power button events on resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222852 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 221897] [NEW] Some Compiz settings ignored when using fusion-icon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fusion-icon When using the fusion tray icon to switch window managers, it appears that some of Compiz's settings are being ignored. For example, I turn on vsync, but when I switch between Compiz and Metacity using the tray icon, in Compiz mode there is tearing even though the option is enabled. This can be further proven by tweaking some of the other display settings in the settings manager. The problem can be resolved by running compiz --replace at the command line. Expected: When enabling compiz using the tray icon, settings in the compiz settings manager are obeyed. Actual: The settings are ignored and possibly defaults are used instead. To replicate: 1. Run compiz --replace 2. Ensure vsync is enabled in compiz settings manager - observe that no tearing occurs when dragging windows around. 3. Start fusion icon, switch to metacity and back to compiz 4. Drag window around - observe tearing now occurs. fusion-icon version: 0.0.0+git20071028-2ubuntu2 ** Affects: fusion-icon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some Compiz settings ignored when using fusion-icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221897 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 186713] Re: [hardy] keytouch blocks logout
If nobody else jumps in before me, I'd be happy to give debugging this problem a go. I'm not running Hardy at the moment because there were a few too many bugs for me at this stage, but when I install it again later this month following the release I'd be glad to help. I guess that when the user logs out, all processes running in that X session will be killed. keytouchd simply exits when it receives a kill signal. [Bug 212778] [NEW] Notification popups not always attached to the icon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mail-notification mail-notification version: 4.1.dfsg.1-2ubuntu1 Using Gutsy AMD64 with Compiz on nvidia-glx-new The notification popups for new mail notification are not always attached to the tray icon. I believe this is caused by creating the notify element before activating the tray icon - the notify element ends up 'attached' to the icon next to the mail-notification icon. [Bug 181010] Re: [Hardy] tracker results window is empty despite search results being found
Using Gutsy 7.10 AMD64 If you perform the same search in tracker-search and tracker-search- tool, what you find is that the results that are displayed in the GUI are the same results that are listed out by the command line tool. As far as I can see, that means there are two possible bugs: 1. The result counts in the GUI tool are incorrect. 2. Not all results are being returned by the index. If 2 is the case, then it can't be related to any issues with file types missing icons (since the command line tool doesn't care about icons). I tested this by using an incomplete icon theme, then changing to a stock icon theme (Human), and my search results were no different. -- [Hardy] tracker results window is empty despite search results being found https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181010 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

My apologies - I'm running Feisty AMD64 with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic. Nautilus version is 2.18.1. I can definitely replicate this on any partition.
