[Bug 947833] Re: When copying selection to clipboard in LibreOffice Calc 'X' process begining to eat 100% cpu
Maybe you have anti-aliasing option disabled in LibreOffice? Xorg begins to eat cpu immediately right after I've pressed Ctrl+C (copied something to clipboard in Calc). And continue eating cpu all the time until I close Calc completely (sometimes Ctrl+Alt+F1-F7 helps - toggling to console and back). Everything works fine until I have this copied cells animation displayed in Calc. And as I've said earlier with anti-aliasing disabled in Calc - no cpu eating. Everything begins to work as expected. So this is some kind of anti-alias problem/bug. xorg.conf file I've created manually with nvidia configuration utility. Could this be the problem in xorg.conf? Or in xinerama. Also LibreOffice draws its interface natively - I neither installed libreoffice-gtk nor libreoffice-gnome. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947833 Title: When copying selection to clipboard in LibreOffice Calc 'X' process begining to eat 100% cpu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/947833/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 925785] Re: Starting to scroll is erratic with edge scrolling on touchpad or mouse scrollwheels
After little pinning down what's going on, actually the bug I'm experiencing is in the DGA (libxxf86dga1) library. Scrolling in the browser works, through any game using DGA for input it doesn't, then again I experimented with Warsow by adding mouse support to read it directly from evdev and this didn't have scrolling problems either. [Bug 953960] [NEW] Mouse scrolling works randomly with games using DGA for mouseinput
Public bug reported: Here's an interesting problem: Games like Warsow and QuakeLive (probably all other freebie q-engine- fps'es like Xonotic, etc too) use DGA by default for mouse input. Albeit being a bit ancient way already, it's default for all of these games (in_dgamouse). The huge problem is, with 12.04 version of X, mouse scroll works completely randomly through DGA input, and more you press keys from the keyboard, more the scroll gets stuck. I have development version of Warsow which supports input through Xinput2, but scrolling doesn't work correctly through Xinput2 either. Reading input directly from evdev does not have this problem (or 11.10). 1) Expected: Mouse scroll respons on up/down scrolling. 2) What happens: Mouse scroll doesn't respond at all, respons randomly, or respons only after you stop pushing keys from the keyboard. It gets especially bad if you move / press keyboard while trying to scroll - then it doesn't respond at all. If you let go of movement keys, it takes around 1-2 seconds before mouse scroll respons again. Stops responding again on stressing the keyboard input. 3) How to reproduce: Bind next/previous weapon in any quake-derivated game or *ANY game that uses dgamouse* for input to MWHEELUP/MWHEELDOWN, press keyboard while doing it (regular in-game movement for example), and see how mouse scroll stops responding. This basically breaks every single game I play on Linux. Hey! I have a macbook 5,5 and I've had these problems too, until I realized something: The Belgian apple keyboards are exactly the same as the French!!! [Bug 811536] [NEW] suspend breaks if module snd_ctxfi is loaded
Public bug reported: What I expected to happen: After entering pm-suspend as root, the system should go into s3 standby/suspend, turning off all lights and fans and other activities. Pressing the power button in this state should resume the system. What happened: When the module snd_ctxfi is loaded and the command pm- suspend is entered, the monitor is turned off as well as any harddrives but the fans keep spinning and all lights remain turned on. Furthermore, the system is unresponsive to any keyboard commands as well as the power button, thus prohibiting resume. Holding down the power button for five seconds still turns the system off. Unloading snd_ctxfi before suspend solves the problem. The module is for a X-Fi Xtremegamer soundcard. [Bug 533111] Re: pacpl can't handle double-quote characters in title tags
Time sure flies by. As for #1 (wrong ffmpeg options) the corrections would be: -metadata title= instead of -title etc. So the whole line (2064 in /usr/bin/pacpl in 4.0.5) would look like: return -metadata title=\$tag_name{title}\ -metadata track=\$tag_name{track}\ -metadata author=\$tag_name{artist}\ -metadata album=\$tag_name{album}\ -metadata comment=\$tag_name{comment}\ -metadata year=\$tag_name{year}\ -metadata genre=\$tag_name{genre}\; That at least gets us through the 256 error, but the output files are still left with empty tags. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533111 Title: pacpl can't handle double-quote characters in title tags To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pacpl/+bug/533111/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 748994] Re: suspend hibernation not working on dell 1749
I have a STudio 1749 and experienced the same problem when moving to 2.6.38 from 2.6.35. My hardware profile is very close to the original poster's. I too was frustrated with the problem. However, after enabling the pm_trace functionality, I was able to identify the offending modules: firewire_core and firewire_ohci. After rmmod'ing these two I was able to successfully resume from suspend. I added them to the blacklist and have not had a problem. One issue I did run into, however, was after resuming the clock was be 10-20 years fast. STill working on a fix for that, but resume is now functional. Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/748994 Title: suspend hibernation not working on dell 1749 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/748994/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
