Re: [Unattended] No active partition found

2004-09-03 Thread Axel Dammers
Hello Pat,

I don't edited Z:\lib\unattend.txt before I start this program at the first
times.

Later I created an own Z:\site\unattend.txt with a value for formatting.
And then the script have no more problems with .No active partition found!

But now I get a failure message and no applications will be installed (e.g.
firefox).

Here the failure message:

snip
after selecting the programs
creating c:\netinst\postinst.bat done
creating c:\netinst\mapzrun.bat done
creating c:\netinst\permcred.bat done
creating c:\netinst\tempcred.bat done

creating c:\netinst\unattended.txt done
sh line1: awk: comand not found
sh line1: tr: comand not found
sh line1: awk: comand not found
sh line1: tr: comand not found
/snip

If you want, I can send you my unattend.txt.

How can I override the question Type 0 or more usernames, separated by
spaces: ? I answer with a 0 (Null).

This means the install.pl script exited before it did anything, and it
exited with a success status. The active partition check is part
of /etc/master, which invokes install.pl and checks its exit status.

Have you edited Z:\lib\unattend.txt or put anything in
 Z:\site\unattend.txt or Z:\site\config.pl ?

Something very strange is going on here. Even if you typed X to
exit the script (or install.pl thinks you did because of some keyboard
problem), the script would exit with a failure code and the active
 partition check would not run.

We need to find out why install.pl is exiting on you.

[Unattended] No active partition found

2004-08-30 Thread Axel Dammers
Hello,

I'am testing unattended-4.4b as the first time on my linux-box.

When I boot my test-pc with the Linux-Boot-CD, there comes an error after
showing the partition table:

Disk geometry for /dev/hda: 0.000-2445.679 MB
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Typefilesystem Flags
1 0.031 2047.500primary fat16
Information: don't forget to update /etc/fstab, if necessary.

No active partition found!
*** Dropping to shell
bash-2.05b#

In the test-pc are two 2GByte harddiscs (/dev/hda and /dev/hdb).
Bevor booting the Linux-Boot-CD I formatted both harddiscs with fat16.
On the Linux-Boot-CD is the burned iso-image
from .../unattended-4.4b/bootdisk/isolinux.bin.

What's going wrong ?
Who can help me ?

Thanks
