Anfrage

2013-08-02 Thread Hans-Joachim Barth
Kommentarrahmens der erforderlichen Zeilenbreite anzupassen - was bisher

So you'd rather whine about some kind of 'problem' (that you don't give an
example
of btw, and which you simply could have written to this list about...2-3 years
ago...to ask about it or let the dev's know about it) and pet peeves of a
*FREE*

hundreds of people *getting paid* to work on) built purely for that nasty
Windows

You wouldn't happen to be sitting in a park, using someone elses wireless
connection to get online, defecating anywhere you please along with a
hundred other people who haven't bathed in a couple weeks instead of being at
work
like the rest of us and are holding signs complaining about those who worked
hard
to have the money and company(ies) they own, would you?

  There's no pleasing the ungrateful.

Dictionaries are exactly the same on all platforms. If you have
dictionary problems on Windows, reset your profile:

If you still have problems, write again but please include more details
(your language + your dictionary version + one specific problem).

I assume we are speaking about the Finnish version, right? The Finnish
version does not include any dictionaries: see

http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/trunk/main/extensions.lst?view=markup
(you will see there's nothing marked with language=fi).

If you are writing in English, you can get the English dictionary
included with the English version of OpenOffice 4 from
http://extensions.openoffice.org/node/17102

Otherwise, just give more context and we will be able to help you better.

  Andrea.

yesterday I installed OpenOffice 4.0.0 retaining 3.4.1. Copying a wiki
article OpenOffice Writer 4.0.0 crashed consistently. Example: The
crashing point lies within the highlighted area (text made with Writer
3.4.1 and copied to Thunderbird), between Français

I cannot crash OpenOffice 4 by copying and pasting text from
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postmoderne
(either the portion you described or the whole page). Maybe you need to
give some more details. Also check if CTRL-Shift-V (Paste Special,

It depends on how you install it. If you install from the debs (as I always
do), then it's the same as under Windows.
I use AOO at work on Windows and at home under GNU/Linux (xubuntu) and have
never really seen any major difference.
