Here is the first thing we should try to help alleviate the problem 1) Start OpenOffice 2) Click Tools -> Options This will open a dialog box 3) On the left side of the box under OpenOffice click Memory If you do not see the Memory option listed click the + next to OpenOffice 4) On the Right side of the box under Graphics cache set the Use for OpenOffice Spin box to 256 by highlighting the number already there and typing 256 5) Clock OK button Close OpenOffice and try editing your memoir again and see if it helped then reply to this message as to whether it worked or not. signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
Old environment
I continue to use Windows 2000 on a computer that runs at 500 megahertz. I secured a back release of OpenOffice to install (version 3.3) -- the last release known to run under Windows 2000. It has worked perfectly well. But a suggestion that I received, in posting an earlier message to the user group, was that I could install OpenOffice 4.1.7 under Windows 2000 -- release 4.1.7 was not that much different from release 3.3. I downloaded a copy of release 4.1.7. Installation presented no problems. I have now tried using release 4.1.7 under Windows 2000, and it appears to work. I would not have guessed that the newer release would have no problems with a version of Windows that was twenty years old. -- Lee Valentine -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org

I’m writing a memoir using apache open office. Each time i log on I get photos where I want them. I come back and half are gone. Then I can’t remember even which ones they were. I get this image below on screen. I’ve spent 3 months on this project and am at my wits end and reduced to tears today because I can’t keep photos loaded from photos on pc to stay in position. I’m nearly 70 and not computer savvy at all so am really struggling. I’ve tried to read forums and have read pages and pages of hints that make no sense to me at all as I don’t understans the jargon. Lockdown means I can get no one to help me. Please can you help me ? I will be most grateful !! Re: [AOO-Templates]
Bonjour, I am sorry my french is horrible. i am also sorry for sending a mail that has not been ment for you. I just realized that I had a mail mismatch. The Documentation we have you can read at [1] The base is a normal Database Frontend, which designed to support for "simple" database models. You could write a macro that reads a Path and adds elements to a database. If you havbe only one table, that you want to fill, it is probable better to use a calc sheet for the purpose. There you can simnply add a macro that scans a directory for files and adds each entry to cell. Database is better if your case is more complex than that. I have several tables on which I would like to gather as much information as possible about my customers so that I don't always have to look for elements. I would like to know if it is possible to link a pdf file or folder to my table (I click on the cell and the information opens)? Could you send me the complete open office manual in pdf version in English please? Thank you in advance. Je voudrais savoir si il est possible de lier un fichier pdf ou dossier à mon tableau ( je clique sur la cellule et l’information s’ouvre ) ?
