 Hello,

 I'm just beginning a semi-automated test suite -- I expect that that

Please test netrw v126g! Its available via my website:
 http://mysite.verizon.net/astronaut/vim/index.html#NETRW
Note that v 126 fails when used with vim 7.1.330. The error message
disappeared too quickly for me to capture it.
Will progression to v 126 cause vim 7.1 to become unusable?

Bram would like netrw released so he can release vim 7.2b and I'm going
to be gone for two weeks starting next week (and will be nowhere near
electricity let alone a computer). The changes have been to put
fnameescape()s and shellescape()s in where appropriate -- so you'll need
vim 7.2a with patches 1-13 (its up to #16 as of this writing).

I'm planning on releasing netrw to Bram at the end of this week.

 Thank you for helping,
 Chip Campbell

v126g (and later) will require vim 7.2a.13 (or later).

v7.1 of vim comes with an earlier version of netrw that works with
v7.1. Once a release has been made, that release is no longer modified,
so vim v7.1 is not going to be unusable -- its as usable now as ever.

It does mean that you can't upgrade v7.1 with plugins that use new
features, one of which is improved security functions. The
shellescape() function, in particular, was itself upgraded in v7.2a's
patch#13. Netrw v126g uses that enhancement, hence to use it requires
the upgraded vim.

Regards,
Chip Campbell

I used this new version today, and faced no problem so far.
