I could do something like Thanks - we reached our goal of 50 000 Euro - and with __ days to spare! and then that would be replaced 7 days before DFD with the duel banners, and then midnight DFD we would transfer to a standard donate banner (and http://challenge.documentfoundation.org/ would return to http://www.libreoffice.org/get-involved/donate/) So the proposed timetable: * Financial completion: Thanks - we reached our goal of 50 000 Euro - and with __ days to spare! You can still donate to help fund our new foundation (or maybe some alternative that keeps the days countdown until the 21st)? * 23rd March: the duel banners go up * Midnight 30th/31st March (DFD): duel banners come down. Re: [libreoffice-website] download libreoffice
Are you suggestingh creating repositories for Linux packages (RPM and .deb)? If so that is a very good idea. A simple pair deb and RPM repositories will keep users (who like to run LibreOffice as distributed by The Document Foundation, rather than their distro) up to date, because their computer syncs with the repository and downloads the package with the highest version number. I propose the following set of repositories: RPM | DEB nightly| nightly beta | beta --- And RCs stable | stable They use standard HTTP so the repo can be anywhere on a TDF webserver, Text on RPM yum repository: http://serverfault.com/questions/38813/tools-for-maintaining-yum-repositories Slightly more formal guide for deb APT repo: http://pynstrom.net/display_tutorial.php?page=tutorials/setup_debian_repo The standard tool for a deb APT repo is reprepro - and for RPM yum you want createrepo. Hope this helps us get a Document Foundation deb/rpm repository :-) 2011/2/23 Andrey sql...@gmail.com: [Russian - utf8] Очень хорошо, что сайт предлагает скачать новый офис, но предлагаемый способ сильно вредит политике партии. MS Office. [English - sorry, but only Google translation] Very well that the site offers to download a new office, but the proposed method greatly harms the party politics. The fact that the requested download .deb packages and install them instead to create a repository of the same package. But the question arises: what are we, back to the methods of working on a computer taken from Windows? But if someone from the users of this method may seem more convenient, they may also remember that in Windows and other things are more convenient. Thus, we turn the hands of sympathy users face to Windows and back to alternative operating systems. In addition, they have a similar perception very quickly extrapolates from operating systems to office suites. Simply put, increasing sympathy for MS Office. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to website+h...@libreoffice.org List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/website/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity *** -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to website+h...@libreoffice.org List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/website/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***

Ok, short term recommendation: replace * with the corner of document symbol (or whatever that triangle is called) used on the credits page of the actual suite. That should be slightly clearer.
