[X2Go-User] Shared directory from Windows client does not mount

2017-09-04 Thread Kalle Tuulos
I'm having several X2go installations, on several servers and for several
users/clients.

The problem is that shared directory mounting does not *usually* work on
those computers, which have cygwin installed before installing X2go client.
For some servers, it works even on those. I can't find out any rule there,
as from some client computer, connections to some X2go servers work fine
and on some X2go servers, the shared directory does not mount. Anyway, on
those computers, which doesn't have cygwin installed, the shared directory
mount seems to always work.

The only clue I have found is that on /var/log/syslog on the server, there
are following lines:
---8<---8<---
/usr/bin/x2gomountdirs[23874]: WARNING: mounting of
/cygdrive/C/Users/xxx/X2GO_S~1 failed
---8<---8<---

I have tried to follow hints on some pages, which recommend decreasing
permissions on client computer's .x2go/etc directory, but no help.

The current installation is:
Client: Windows 10 64bit Professional (does not matter, some of
installations are Windows 7)
X2go client version 4.0.5.2

Server: Ubuntu 16.04 (does not matter - some of servers are 16.10)
X2go server version 4.0.1.20-0~1125~ubuntu16.04.01
The server was installed from X2go's PPA source.

Thanks,
   Kalle

This issue is somewhat random. I'm using Windows client from several
machines, to several Ubuntu servers. On some client machine, the clipboard
works to certain servers, but not to all. I haven't found any rule, why it
would not work.

Maybe this has something common with random behaviour of shared directory?
It also works towards some servers, but not to all.

[X2Go-User] X2Go server, nxagent causes segfault

2018-03-12 Thread Kalle Tuulos
Hello

I'm using X2Go server in several computers, all running Ubuntu. Just today,
one of my computers (headless Linux box) just froze and I had to give it a
power cycle reset. After powering up again, I can't any more connect to
X2Go.

I'm getting following into /var/log/syslog:

There seem to be no hardware problems - I installed mcelog and I'm now

Could anyone give some hints? I have spent the last hour googling about

2018-03-20 Thread Kalle Tuulos

Hello

I just upgraded my Ubuntu setup with a normal apt-get upgrade and
nx-agent version 2:3.5.99.16-0~201803162252~ubuntu16.04.1 was installed.
The segfault problem went away, X2Go works again "as specified".

I notice that if you don't resize or move the x2go client

--8<--8<--

Printing, audio and shared folder have previously been activated and they
have worked. Now I have disabled them and it does not make any difference.

I have tried to re-install x2go server by command:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall x2goserver x2goserver-common
x2goserver-xsession

On the server computer, .xsession-x2go--errors file has following:
--8<--8<--
XSession-x2go: X session started for ktuulos at pe 10.3.2023 11.30.25 +0200

Hi Ulrich

NX Agent appeared and Xterm opened inside it.

[X2Go-User] Force using IPv6 in x2goclient

2023-02-26 Thread Kalle Tuulos
Hello

I'm connecting to some hosts behind NAT. These hosts are using dynv6 DNS so
I'm able to SSH directly to them, if I instruct SSH to use only IPv6, not
IPv4.

How can I instruct the X2Go client to use only IPv6 when connecting to some
host?

Thanks and best regards,
  Kalle

[X2Go-User] Mounting USB drives in remote computer

2024-04-10 Thread Kalle Tuulos
Hello

I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 with LXQt (i.e., Lubuntu) on the remote computer.
When I'm using the computer locally and plug in an USB drive, It will be
automatically mounted and shown in file explorer. But when I'm using the
computer remotely, I'll just get a prompt saying "Error: Not authorized to
perform operation"

Could someone help me to configure the remote computer so that when I plug
in an USB drive, it would behave as I would use the computer locally?

Best regards and greetings from Finland

Kalle
