Re: SBBOD when Yojimbo launches
Mine too - I heard this was a database issue that needed fixing. Re: SBBOD when Yojimbo launches
yes, i'm using .mac syncing. that is, i *plan* to. but so far, i only have yojimbo installed on one machine. but perhaps the app is still communicating with whatever data is stored on .mac. but even when i've made no changes to the database -- i'm just opening it to refer to documents within -- i get this problem. but i suppose it may still be comparing data. i wish it could do so without preventing us from interacting with the app -merv -- On May 3, 2007, at 6:06am, Steve Kalkwarf wrote: i'm enjoying yojimbo (still in the evaluation period), but i have a problem: each time i launch yojimbo, i get the SBBOD (spinning beach ball of death) off and on for about a minute. during this time, it is very difficult (or sometimes impossible) for me to interact with the application. but after a minute or so, the SBB goes away, and i can work. Are you using .Mac syncing? Typically this happens as Yojimbo is catching up with syncs that occurred in the background. If not, write to me directly, and I have a couple questions that might help us narrow it down. -- Steve Kalkwarf [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- -- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list yojimbo-talk@barebones.com. Re: SBBOD when Yojimbo launches
since i'm experiencing this -- with only 19 items in my database, and *without* performing any searches -- i'm going to go ahead and write support about this issue. if i commit to yojimbo, i'll have hundreds of items before too long, and i'm concerned about the issue worsening as my database grows. thanks, -merv -- On May 3, 2007, at 2:07pm, Jim Correia wrote: if you are affected by this issue please either takes Steve up on his offer, or write to support, so we can diagnose your specific problem and log a new issue about it if necessary.
3/2-pane toggle
Quick little feature request folks… I typically use the three-pane standard view when using Yojimbo, however when I want to review a long list of notes, archives, etc. I will double-click on the divider between the notes list and note preview panes (i don't know the 'official' terminology here, but basically - the top and bottom bit on the right!) to quickly switch to a two-pane view; the sidebar and list of notes. This divider line is quite a small target area to hit, so it'd be great if one of the options in the 'customise toolbar' feature was a button to add to the toolbar that toggled the preview pane on and off. That's it. And I didn't mention tags or nesting once. ;o) Cheers, T. -- -- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list yojimbo-talk@barebones.com. why do we have to copy instead of just select
Hi, folks, I've tried out many of the other note-grabbing programs, like SOHO Notes and Journler and Eagle Filer. Each of them requires only that you SELECT the text and invoke its grab command. This makes me wonder why Yojimbo, which I prefer in every other way, requires that we SELECT then COPY the text before we grab it. Any thoughts?
