Wouldn't pdf be a nice format? IMO better than gif.
You could offer both.
Given he's also providing the ABC, you can produce any format you like.
PDF is primarily a printing format. The user interface of Acrobat Reader
is appallingly clunky compared with
Antialiasing is a feature you can turn off both in GhostView and in
Acrobat Reader.
Please learn to use the tools you discuss before writing long and

Too true! I remember having a *lot* of fun with Muse over just such
pixellation-on-screen and spacing problems in the early days.
