I was trying to resolve the following from the build.xml:
property name="avalon.dist" value="../dist/avalon" /
available property="avalon.present"
classname="org.apache.avalon.blocks.Block" /

Sam,
Just like to discuss this build issue with you in a bit more detail as
it may represent a slight issue with Gump.
Firstly I can build mutant without problems. If you check it out I am
sure you will too. There is nothing additional required from the
environment. The problem here, I
Fix for minor typo.

There seems to be a problem building junit fully at the moment (testing
it actually).

It's a silent failure because the junit build file does not use the
failonerror attribute when running its test with java. Anyway, I think

Attached is a new descriptor for the checkstyle project on sourceforge.
I have contacted the author and he is happy to have it gumped. Also
attached is a patch making the use of checkstyle an option when building
mutant
You'll also need to add it to the gump profile. I didn't provide a patch

FYI: this gump descriptor exports no jars.
Attached below is the patch I'd like to use. I don't think it will work
though as Gump only replaces one @@DATE@@ tag in the jar construct.
I could change the version property to something like gump.
Let me know.

I patched bash.xml as shown below to allow for a basedir attribute on
the script element.
It allows me to run mutant's bootstrap script.
I haven't done the corresponding changes to the windows equivalent. If
you think itis a good idea, let me know and I will go ahead.

Yep,
Gump help alerts the developers to the issue.
But, how many people will use JDOM? It'd be better if API breakages were
reported as a group, rather than each group needing to

And it would be nice if Gump could, on

And my other question would be, why introduce this to Gump? What is Gump
going to do with the new information? I can understand why you need it in

No, it was not. Not sure why you thought that.

Sam,
If I update a package definition in the profile, how do I update the package
on the machines where Gump runs (the nightly builds, etc).
