this now normal? could some one reply to the affirmative I may even
find some funds to rejoin amsat if the board now reflects the
experimental and technical pursuits of real satellite enthusiasts.
Please no more FM sats. I like beep sats and enjoy getting data from
them.

I can say that on Chincoteague Island, across from Wallops, there were
thousands of people there to watch. The causeway to the island was a traffic
jam. There is definitely still some interest.

Just wondering, should I mount my arrow with the 2m elements oriented
vertical or horizontal?
I am planning on putting it at 15deg and just using a az rotator.
Does it even matter which way its oriented since the polarity of the sats
are always changing?
Maybe I should mount it like this: /
Hi,
Do you have the sat option?
Need more info. I use my 726 often and have no real trouble apart from
rudimentary computer control.
It's still a good radio though.

If I wanted to go down the full-duplex route, I'd use Skype.

Anyone know who has the record for the most ham QSO's in space?
Astronaut Doug Wheelock maybe?
Just curious. It would be a nice record to have some other people try
to break and incentive to keep the activity going.

We need someone in Spain to relay the balloon K6RPT-11 on 144.390mhz. We are
losing the link to the web. Anyone in the South of Spain or near that area
please contact hams in the area to relay the APRS traffic from our balloon.
Thanks,

Nothing like that but I did get wiped out on an AO-51 pass by strange up and
down oscillations on receive. I couldn't hear a thing over it. I later found
out it was an AWAC plane flying down the coast Really weird. 73, Don

I'd like a QSL for EM53. I'd be happy to send you a SASE for it. Thanks for

What is so different that the amateur satellite service can use any

For those looking for FM27, I'll be on the FM Easy Sats on Saturday the 13th
and possibly Sunday as well. I'll probably be operating from the beach of
Assateague Island IOTA NA-139.
Hope to see you there,

Thanks for everyone's patience today. I was able to log about 20 contacts on
AO-27 and SO-50. Not bad for a first day out. I used the antennas as mounted
on the tower today. Tomorrow I will be on again and will play with the arrow
some more.

Will SO67 be available for Field Day over the US?
I know it's usual schedule is for the first week of the month but I
was wondering if any special arrangement has been made or requested
for the ARRL field day weekend.

I have been monitoring the frequency here in Louisville and it seems
quiet now. If it comes up again we can organize a foxhunt to track it

feature is it can also do 1 watt on 1.2GHZ uplink to AO51.
I suggest using 5khz steps on 435mhz so it does 5 memory sets.
Good luck,

The most likely element(s) to miss mounting are the one(s) that are
mounted through the balun or tight against the polarity switcher.
