I am having a difficult time trying to determine why this error comes
up at the beginning of every month and lasts until the middle of the
month.
For example, I am getting this ambiguous date errors from October 1 -
October 12.
This is answered in the Frequently Asked Questions page:
http://www.analog.cx/docs/faq.html#faq106
Is 10/8/02 the 10th of August, or the 8th of October?
How do you know? How is Analog supposed to know?
From October 12 - October 31 the log files are processed
fine.
13/10/02 or 10/13/02 - there's no room for confusion there.
I have checked the log files over and the date format (which is
mm/dd/) does not change for the above dates. This only seems to
affect sites that are configured to use Microsoft IIS log format.
Microsoft IIS log format doesn't use a consistent date format. It uses the System date
format, which varies from region to region, and doesn't indicate anywhere in the log
which format it is using.
This problem does not seem to affect sites configured to use W3C
Extended log format.
W3C uses a standard date format, no matter what the region.
