[android-developers] Mobile Whiteframe compatability

Hi all,

My office recently started to move into app development and as the designer 
I've been getting my head around designing for android. I''ve tried to use 
the Mobile Whiteframe template for assistance 
(https://material.io/guidelines/resources/layout-templates.html) however I 
believe it was built using Illustrator CC. I've opened it at the office 
(CS4) and at home (CS6) however the file seems to lose all the key lines 
and colours making the template unusable.

I would be eternally grateful if someone with Illustrator CC could open the 
Mobile Whiteframe.ai file for me and save it into a legacy format that I 
can open.

Hello guys,

I am just trying to make an app for learning purpose on Android Studio. The 
app name is PizzaApp. I have just started it and for now I have not typed 
much of code. But I am getting few errors. Would you please help me in 
resolving these errors. The details are given below:

I have written an Android app that accesses shared folders on Windows PCs 
and on my NAS drive. This has been working fine for some time now.

I've just come back from a short break and something has happened to my 
Windows 10 Laptop with the result that I can no longer connect to it from 
any of my Android devices. After repeated failures, both from my own app 
and a network-aware file manager, I reluctantly resorted to re-installing 
ES File Explorer. In ES, the icon for my laptop now has a little red dot in 
the top left corner. If I click on it, ES File Explorer reports:

unlock SMB2.0
The server that you want to set up requires SMB2.0. Please unlock first.

This is followed by an advert for a game I don't want and an unlock button. 
I've not tried the button in case it installs the game (these ads are the 
main reason I gave up on ES in the first place).

My laptop didn't require SMB2.0 a week ago. Can anyone suggest what might 
have changed in the interim and whether I can reverse that change at the 
laptop end?

What does unlocking SMB2.0 actually mean? I don't just want to be able to 
access the server from ES, I need to be able to access it from my own app. 
If I click the Unlock button in ES will that then enable me to access the 
laptop from all Android apps or do I need to do something to my Android app 
to enable it to access a server that "requires SMB2.0"?

Note that my desktop PC (also Windows 10) and my NAS drive aren't affected 
by this problem. I can still connect to those from my Android app.

Any advice or information gratefully received.

I am experiencing this problem as well.

I've tried multiple browsers, and have tried logging in with 
private/incognito mode with all cookies removed, and every time it results 
in loading the same error 403 page.

[android-developers] Test adaptive icons

Hey!

I am implementing the support for adaptive icons on Android O, but I found 
no reliable way to test that.

I saw in the internet that Pixel Launcher has an option "Change icon shape" 

.

This option is not available in the Pixel API level 26 Emulater.

I have also a Nexus 5X flashed with 8.0.0 (OPR6.170623.013, Aug 2017) 
 (I 
managed to install Pixel Launcher even if it is not available for it in 
Google Play).
I don't have this option there either.

Any tips?!

[android-developers] How to support dual stack in android? the getaddrinfo return error when we access ipv4 server in ipv6 network.

The test scene decribed as below:
One phone connects to the IPV6 environment which supports NAT64  ,and it 
will access a IPV4 server(Dot-decimal notation format like x.x.x.x but not 
domain name) As the purpose, we need to get a IPV6 address which  embed 
IPV4 address(server address),so we use getaddrinfo to do this thing but as 
the result we can't get the correct IPV6 address. and we could not send any 
packet out. 
PS:Use gethostbyname2 fucntion also does not work.
Does someone know how to handle this  case  in c layer or can we do it via 
java class?

[android-developers] Job Scheduler not scheduling JobService immediately.

Hi I have implemented JobScheduler API in the Application which help me 
schedule jobs to run in the background. For past couple of days the 
JobScheduler does seem to be working as expected. It starts the job service 
whenever which is inappropriate. Can anyone help me regarding why this sort 
of behaviour is taking place. Kindly let me know if you need to see my code.
