Before installing assp, hmailserver sends and receives email just fine.
After installing assp, I cannot send but can receive emails.
I have attached my assp.cfg file.
I have set smtp port in hmailserver to 125
If I change my email client to port 125 I can send.
But I don't want to have to

I ran an hmail server for a number of years with ASSP before moving to Zimbra.
As long as mail flows
internet=assp=hmail server
and
users=assp=hmail server (on port 587)
You should be pointing your users to port 587

After a couples years of using ASSP in the standalone mode on several
servers, I'm in the final throes of creating a vmware appliance to
service all incoming mail. Have everything working as desired except
NetSNMP:Agent which is version 5.6.2.

hm... sounds like there may be some problem with the config; didn't
check your config (also since the ML strips off attachments - and in
any case, better NOT
Nice setup but wouldn't that mean that all clients would have to change
their outbound port to 125?
