of the iceberg if you go the official route... You still haven't paid for
their ongoing maintenance. They should really consider selling their
phones at a better price.

brian i hate to do this but you miss something.
The little ata286, well people hear ECHO when they talk to me
they hear small echo with the ata in use the caller id works 75% of the
times maybe a little less with the lastest firmware calls get drop with
no reason after some time, hopefully
but that's web admin page sometimes no respond and some hang-ups ;-P
I think that still dangerious for bussiness use.

Yes, I know that the Grandstream firmware have problems (I have here 15
phones with some beta version already installed :( and waiting for bug
fixing in the new beta) but the stable version 1.0.3.81 is working just
perfect.
