We regularly use 500 x 5 tyres and tubes as a replacement for these. They
are fairly easily available from local aviation suppliers.
I have fitted them to Jantar and Blaniks many times.

I have had an early 12XL from about mid 1996 and have not had this problem
ever.
As a side interest my model is not field upgradeable as I think the later
versions are.

I'm sure we'd all like to know this. Then again I'm very fussy about the
flying machines I'll inhabit even if they are allegedly certified,
properly maintained etc . It will be a great day when the last Blanik is

Gardown and G7toWin are both freeware and
take track logs form most Garmins.

G7toWin will also store the resulting logs in an IGC
compatible format. I like this as it gives you the ability to look at the
multiple tracks in IGCview.
Track
them
in place.
I have a cardboard template that I used for the base section if that would
be of any use.

You just asked questions outside my knowledge base. I am not
from the Kingaroy area. I am just interested on our clubs behalf as to the
autotug status. I think that it depends on the certification. If it gets
certified for private use ( experimental or not ) and has the appropriate
in a hanger.
This glider has done a 750km flight and is in top condition. $39000.
