Hello! I've just downloaded http://avifile.sourceforge.net/divx4linux-20010807.tgz and was surprised to find that install script install.sh is in dos format, i.e. with \r at the end of lines. On my RedHat 7 bash was unable to deal with it properly - I was to pipe the file through sed first.

Guess why the resampling option in avifile was added? - Syncing to the sound clock is the old behaviour which Zdenek didn't like. But in that case you have to resample audio, because otherwise you'll get out of sync. Which you may of course try to use - I have spent quite a few hours on
