I am managing Bangpypers meetup for more than a year with other volunteers
help. When we restarted monthly meetup our aim is to have meetup every
month under any cost. We are able to do that successfully with average
turnout from 10 to 80 people every month.

Yes. Attributes are fixed. The advantage over dictionary is ease of access
like p.foo rather than p['foo'] or p.get('foo').

I would save *don't* use Django signal. Signals are hard to test and don't
know when they will be executed.
Suggestions
- If post_save function does some work like updating external service which
can take data, use rq or celery.
