The age old problem that I know has been discussed before on BernerL,
however, it is now happening to us and both our dogs, Mocha 5 and Kona 9
months are doing it regularly.
We feed them a well rounded diet including fresh vegetables and Fromms
kibble.
It is really getting to become an

Dear Laurie,
Your Hannah poop story is hilarious. I read the Berner L with my coffee
first thing each morning. What a great way to start the day, I laughed out
loud.

What would be the best collar for her to be able to wear on a permanent

Not a choke. Imagine if she got the ring hung up on something
You will hear many opinions on the collar on/collar off situation. I now
always keep a flat, buckle collar on all my dogs with their tag ID's. In
past years, twice I had dogs escape the fenced yard and neither time did the
dog have on any ID although all had been tatooed (before microchips
I just wanted to pass on some information. Halley my BARC girl was
microchipped as a puppy, I believe in her place of birth, Hungary. I had my
vet scan her yesterday, to make sure the chip was there, and realized that
the chip was not registered to me. I called AVID this morning, to see

We received our Baloo free of charge thanks to his wonderful breeder who
placed him with us when he was given up by his original owners as a rescue.
Our breeder also went the extra mile (actually MANY miles!) when she
volunteered to help out with Baloo's initial expenses for neutering and to
Even though comparing children and dogs probably seems silly to some, to dog lovers
the analogy is readily understandable.
I bought my Maddie in good faith from a breeder who had obtained the usual clearances.

Hi Lisa-Jayne
I think it is better to use the collar only when you got out. Too
many things can happen if you leave a collar on when you are not around to
supervise. One of our dogs got it's lower jaw caught in another dog's
collar and almost killed her. Luckily we were home and
Hi,
I too agree that wearing a collar while unsupervised can be a fatal
situation.
Dogs like to jump up after things that are above them, even if standing on
their hind legs.
If the collar loops over something when they are in the air then the collar
acts as a hanging noose when they come back
Hi everyone,
Charlie is enrolled in puppy kindergarten. I am going to continue obedience
training with him, but would like to start educating myself on what other
type of trainings I can do with him. I am unsure as to which direction I
would like to go. I do know that I want to keep him (and
Sorry folks! I made a mistake on the date of the Helderberg BMDC Winter Walk. It

I had to share a story about Tango and his bathroom habits after reading

Hi All,
My Berners have never been poop eaters, but my rescue mixed breed is a true
caprophage. I gave up on her and got a muzzle. She still gets the stuff (I
can tell, because the muzzle comes in smudged), but she cant get as much.
She used to eat so much of it---pardon me---that she tossed it
Typo---the word is coprophage.
