Hello All,
I have a question regarding the behavior and temperament of berner
boys compared to girls. I have had only male berners till now (we tried
herding, had obedience trainings, attended show, fun meetings, etc.)
but I don't have experiences with girls. Now I hope to add a girl to our
I would strongly suggest that before anyone considers various supplements,
treatments, therapies, diets for lameness, Xrays and perhaps various other
diagnostic tests be done. There are so many things that can cause lamemess,
such as, but not limited to, dysplasia, autoimmune disease, and bone

Hi all,
After reading the post about Buster, I did a search to make sure that the
story was true (it almost seemed too good to be true!) Well, I found it on
the BBC web site, and they included another tidbit of information that
makes it even more wonderful--- Buster had been chosen for
Hi Jen,
Is he related to my Titan?? My young lad tap dances in his crate at three
in the morning, his new name is Fred Astaire! Well of course he wakes up
the entire household and then everyone wants a pee break. I can't remember
when I last had a decent night's sleep and I'm threatening to leave
Hi,
Always interesting to hear food choices for health and thought to share
this anecdotal story with you. My late sister-in-law suffered terribly with
arthritis and had three major joint replacements and carbon fibre implants
in her hands and her toes had been pegged to straighten them. She found
Well now, we are boarding or dog sitting the biggest most loveable 140 pound
2 year old female spayed Saint. Now she is a foot sitter, leaner on the legs
of great talent.
One does not move with this loveable gal on your foot. It takes two sets of
hands to get the job done when she rolls over for
well, this is a question about my girlfriend's 1 1/2 year old Ridegback. About a
month ago, se started limping, but only at night. Whether or not she exercises a lot
during the day, regardless, she limps at night, same right front leg, all stiff and
looking like it hurts, but the dog doesn't
Also, another rule to which I subscribe is to never, to the best of my
recollection, administer medications, treatments, supplements to my dogs
without consulting, first, with my dogs' veterinarians or, in an emergency,
with whatever veterinarian is handling the case.

About check´s as payment. In Sweden nobody use check´s any more - we use
card´s or cash.
My monthly salary goes directly to the card.
I asked the bank for a check to the Raffle, it would cost around 28 US
dollar to buy a check at the bank to send to the USA.

We don't have cracked noses but we do have a

Phew!!!
After stressful day yesterday all is well!
Sunny is back to normal, temperature down and no more of those awful attacks
and we have had good walk down the village again and a good romp in the
woods. Weather here is superb!!.
Have to say when I took her into the vet yesterday I was
Hello everybody,
Thank you for letting me join your list. I have goldens (although I love
berners!) and am here because one of my goldens recently had an emergency
splenectomy. The tumour found in her spleen was subsequently identified as a
malignant histiocytic sarcoma.
My vet had not
What the breeder of my first two Berners told me still rings true. These
were both girls. She said that in the Bernese breed, the girls and the boys
BOTH make admirable pets. She was correct. The only slight, and I do
emphasize slight difference, just perhaps, is that I perceive the boys to
