Just back from visiting the family in England. On the
telly was a young man with a rather interesting look.

I too was told not to let my puppy go up and down
stairs. It never occurred to me to do otherwise and
until he got too big to carry I struggled up several
flights of stairs to get him to the park where all the
doggies played. This park was in the middle of the
River Seine and Id often struggle
The thought of any animal being sold in a supermarket
disgusts me but I don't imagine we're talking dogs and
cats here. To my knowledge dogs and cats haven't
been sold in pet shops for many years.
The supermarkets should sell pet supplies and nothing
else!

In answer to your question where have all the
Berners in Switzerland gone I think they're
all here in The Netherlands I saw 3 during the 15
minute school run this morning!!! The fifth most
popular dog over here!!! :)

I had a friend that owned an escapee Beagle. He went
through the invisible fencing several times and one
day never came back. Very sad.

Louis and I had breakfast in bed this morning! My 12
year old daughter brought me coffee and toast and
marmalade, and Louis had his bowl of Eukanuba! Too
cute! :)

Does anyone else vacuum their dog? I did Louis on
Sunday, he lay on his side and then rolled over for
his tummy to be done! It just seemed a natural
progression from doing the stairs to doing the dog at
the bottom of the stairs! :)

I attended Crufts Dog Show last year and loved it! I
hope to go again this year. My question is, what is
the proper etiquette when you go to these shows.
Someone mentioned recently that at a big show its
probably not the best of times to bounce up to a
handler and start asking questions.
Not exactly Berner related but when my daughter was 4
years old her brother ran over her foot with his bike.
It broke a small bone near her growth plate. The
doctors put her ENTIRE leg in plaster and she was
carefully monitored for weeks. Growth plates are
obviously very important whether
Hi Everyone
I'm just thrilled to announce the arrival of my new
Berner pup! Hes been in transit since 26 December
but he looks well. His coat is shiny and his eyes are
still bright. I just adore him Im ashamed to
admit though ... he came from a puppy mill
somewhere in China!

skin their dog has. I've been wanting to ask this
question for a long time is all that extra
skin normal? Louis resembles a cement mixer when he
breaks into a trot. He's a big fluffy boy and I've
never thought of him as fat but two
Interesting reading what a rare site these Berners are
in the U S of A. We live in a sleepy village in the
southern tip of The Netherlands and the other day I
visited a dog kennel just down the road and there were
FOUR BMD's in there! There can't have been more than
15 dogs in the entire
