I have a user who is having trouble filing messages into folders on his
Blackberry. He has a 9800 on 6.0.0.526. BES is 5.0.3.31 on Exchange 2007 SP3.
He, as an example, files 7 messages. Two go into the correct folder, the next 5
go into the same folder as the second message, but he placed them
Yes, he has folders in a Cabinet folder and I made sure all of them were
checked. Though I believe he started activation before I added them, if that
makes a difference.

The cabinet folder is on Exchange. The BES server sees everything when I went
in and checked them for reconciliation.

Inbox only. They were all unchecked. It’s hard for me to believe I forgot to
hit save.

But the folder redirection should only be important for incoming mails
for mail rules.
Folder redirection is not for mails that are in the inbox of the

He's constantly having issues, but never sure where an email will end up. I
have not had any other reports of this and I've put messages into folders and
they showed up fine. I have OS5 though, and do not have as many folders as he
does (some go three levels deep.)

I had him go in on his Blackberry and all the folders are selected. The same
thing happened, the first went to the right folder as did the second, but 3-7
went into the second email folder. He tried an 8th, and it went correctly.
I'll see if I can get a different unit activated, but am starting
Did you check what the BES logs are showing for this filing process?

And now my problem, I come from Domino.
In this logs I see this move like:
...
Date time: user Received package from handheld..
Date time: user message moved from folder $inbox to new folder
