while my father and I were there (8am-4:45pm) during the strong winds:
Northern Gannet- Not seen again after 9:20am
Long-tailed Jaeger- only the 1
This morning at 9:40 AM my son and I had 2 Cave swallows fly past the tip at 50
Point Conservation Area, flying from East to West.
Birds also seen from 7:30 AM until 10:30 AM included

Poor weather had influenced the Hawkwatch at Beamer for the past few days,
and although the count didn't record a bird until
11:20 today (probably due to flurries in the Buffalo area), a good flight was
recorded. Totals were:

My Mom and I spent the day at Long Point today and saw the following birds:
Big Creek: Sandhill Cranes, 2 Common Moorhens, Tundra Swans, Bald Eagle, Sora,
American Bitterns seen all day long. We spotted 6
WILLETS flying along the shore of the Inner Bay (across from Big Creek)

Today May 9th, My Father and I found an Adult Male Harris's Sparrow at Long
Point. It was seen on Hastings Drive, near cottage
#29. We first found it around 4:45pm, but we saw it again at 7pm with a group
of White-throated and White-crowned Sparrows.

Today, July 19th at 4:00 pm, while sitting on a bench at Van Wagner's beach and
looking out over the lake, I spotted what I believed
was the unmistakable sight of a parasitic Jaeger powering up as it picked out a
gull to go after just west of Hutches Restaurant. It
quickly over took the gull

Many birders spent the day at Van Wagners Beach in Hamilton today and had a
great reward. Various birds seen throughout the day
by many people include:
2 Long-tailed Jaegers- 1 Juvenile Dark/Intermediate Morph seen mid-day (flying
along very close to shore). 1 Adult seen around

Today (sept. 6th), there was a good assortment of shorebirds at the
Townsend Sewage Lagoons. Species seen were:
2 Juvenile Buff-Breasted Sandpipers- (along the various dry places around the
productive lagoon)

today, with North-East winds predicted to be blowing
30-50kmh. The morning started off slow with a few distant Jaegers seen, and a

Fruitland Rd. in Stoney Creek (where it meets Lake
