For newborns they need colostrum for at least the first 24 hours. I use a multi species available at the local farm storm. It is by Manna Pro and is in a green pouch. I mix 1 scoop with 4 oz of warm water. I feed if they will eat every two hours. But depending on size try to get at least 6 0z
