Hi Guys, I need to cut an 18-inch circle in the middle of the hood of my hotrod in order to accommodate a cold air induction setup. I have identified and marked the center of the circle. Now the trick is to lay out the perimeter and make the cut without it having to many square corners. I have

Actually the disk cutter is a high speed air motor with a 3/8 chuck on the end just like a drill motor and the disks come in a variety of diameters depending on your specific requirements. The disk surface is perpendicular to the centerline of the air motor thus allowing you to cut with the

Thanks for the tip on the gloves. Another thought has occurred to me, with the grinding wheel or the sawsall but probably better with the grinder, you could use a length of cable, something like that aircraft cable, heavy cord would probably also do but you make a tight loop at the pivot point

hi lary the jig saw with a guide on the shoe would be the way to go. most jig saws i have seen have a slot to put a guide bar into. just put a pin in the end of the bar drill a hole in the center set the bar for the proper length and cut around the circle.. the jig saw has a thinner blade than

What kind of splitter are you looking for Joe? The only manual ones I know about have a sledge or maul involved. The splitters that use a hydraulic ram can be pretty pricey. I've had one that was basically a Briggs Stratton engine driving a geared down augor. You jammed the log onto the end

Well for that purpose, spraying Roundup is easily the best option. You want to do it during dry weather and you probably want to keep your animals from eating the leaves at least the first day otherwise though it is pretty safe and as I said before becomes inert almost immediately on touching

Well here is one application for salt although containing it might be a problem. Black plastic works really well until enough debris accumulates to permit growth.You can keep it down by scattering stone over it but be aware that stone will trap moisture and dirt and eventually weed will grow.
