I don't have the Rockwell, but I have a Black Decker Workmate. The jaws themselves probably open up about six inches, but it's fairly easy to make extensions if you need wider jaws. The legs fold into the unit, and the table kind of drops, so it's fairly portable and easy to store. I made a
