The latest installment of the deck saga.
Teresa borrowed her brother's pickup truck on Friday evening. Saturday we
got an early start and headed for the lumber yard. We picked up quite
literally a ton of lumber. 20 2X10X14s, 5 6X6X8s
that physical work though. Next time you get that feeling of
wanting to make something of your own, have a baby.

rescuing me from deck building Hell! and he suggested that possibly the
wood was wet when the product was applied or perhaps it hadn't been sanded
sufficiently.

Are you going to use sonotube to form up your footings? I didn't hear of any
joist hangers. You will probably want to embed the post fixing brackets
directly into the top of your cement posts and a heavy box of nails! You
aren't nearly finished packing gear.
