Yesterday, we had several interesting birds at the feeder. Along with several siskins we had a pair of Carolina wrens, and a Red breasted hatch.This is the first red breasted not hatch we’ve had in over two years. I’m not clear where they were last year but we didn’t have any. This year is

I wonder if someone can shed some light on some female a Cardinal behavior I witnessed this morning. I saw her peeling bark off my River Birch and flying off with a big piece. Now if it were spring, I’d think it was for a nest. Why might she want it at this time of year? Sent from my iPad
