In addition to the birds Kevin has mentioned along the roadside in Dryden,
there are many fox sparrow and Song sparrows. I just drive up Hunt hill Road
and counted 15 Fox sparrows along the road.

This morning there are blackbird flocks going north over Hunt Hill Rd, Dryden.

Hi,
I checked out the Cornell game farm on Stevenson and game farm roads this
afternoon at 3 PM. I easily counted 62 Redtailed Hawks on the fences and in the
trees. In the main big tree there were 22 hawks alone. Also loads of Starlings,
eating the grain.

Been about six or
seven flocks of mixed black birds. One turkey vulture and two ravens have flown
over. But no geese and no raptors. I'm puzzled by the discrepancy between the
weather stations reporting of wind direction and what I am seeing in the sky
above me. Any thoughts?

Our first Eastern Wood Peewee is hawking insects over our pond this morning. We
missed it yesterday on our 3 am to 8 pm big day. Also, Parula warbler
singing around the yard today ((missed yesterday as well).

Our FOY blue headed vireo and Louisiana waterthrush singing in the woods behind
our house on Hunt Hill Rd. this afternoon! Neither heard this morning but both
singing at noon. Also found a Red tailed hawk nest.

Lots of geese moving this morning, Snows and Canadas. Right over our house on
Hunt Hill Rd., east of Ithaca (Dryden). Yesterday they were more to the south
of our house. Also big flocks of Blackbirds. Mostly Grackles so far.

There have been lots and lots of Juncos at our feeders this week, but right now
we have a high number of 55 scattered on the lawn and under the feeders.

Rusty BBs at Sapsucker woods right now. 8 am.
Currently just south of the main entrance to the Lab of O. Quite impressive !
