Joe Wetmore and I just watched one of the male orioles in our yard chattering excitedly. As it dropped down to the ground, we realized that it was looking after, and bringing food to, a recently fledged oriole chick. The chick could hop and make short flights of about 4-5 feet, but I'm wondering
