Cayugabirders,
A very large flock of swallows and swifts was feeding over Cayuga Lake
out from Stewart and East Shore Parks in Ithaca this morning just
before 11 AM in the heavy rain. Though all local species were
represented (2 Cliff Swallow, 1 Purple Martin included), particularly
interesting
Went rowing in the rain about 10:30 and the Laughing Gull was
standing on the white lighthouse jetty by itself.

I drove up alone to the MNWR visitor center on Wednesday morning. Despite
searching thoroughly from the platform and the road, a few others and I didn't
see the Hudsonian Godwit between 9:00 and 9:45 AM. Chuck Gibson was saying
that no one found the godwit all yesterday afternoon or evening
