Hi Donna, A couple of weeks ago I watched a red-tail catch, kill and eat a grey squirrel in my yard. It pinned the squirrel and stayed motionless over it for at least five minutes until the squirrel was dead. It took another 30 minutes or so for the hawk to eat its fill. It left the remains
