Hello, around 15:40 up about a half mile on the nature trail that leads off of
Salo Dr. in Trumansburg, there was a FOY BLUE-HEADED VIREO passing through the
pines. There was a small mixed warbler flock as well, but I could only make out
a male Myrtle Warbler before they headed on. Otherwise

We had sun for the Easter egg hunt at Taughannock Falls this morning, but at
3:30, darkling sprinkles have arrived in West Danby, and that has set the birds
outside my door to singing. Among the rest I can hear my first-of-spring
Blue-headed Vireo.

In my yard I've had a Blue-headed Vireo this morning, a few Ruby-crowned
Kinglets, and a new group of brightly-painted White-throated Sparrows. Still
have Fox Sparrows singing. I just spotted a Blue Jay carrying nest material
into a clump of young white pines, the so-called cabbage trees.

There is a blue-headed vireo loudly singing over our pond, mid day(3:30)! He
has been around for the past few days but mostly in the morning. And I always
think of them as deep woods birds. Nice to have him around.

The SFO local field trip had at least 3 Blue-headed Vireo foraging along Wilson
Trail North this morning. Also great views of the Barred Owl, Rusty
Blackbirds, and a fishing female Belted Kingfisher.

While recording BROWN CREEPER in Shindagan Hollow this morning, I
heard my first of year HERMIT THRUSH singing under the balsams. This
was south, out of the basin.
However, while recording the two LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSHES singing on
Leonard Road, I found a pair of BLUE-HEADED VIREOS doing
